His call for NY to ‘support their own’ is sadly gonna fall on deaf ears ‘cos NY is just like the rest of the country, they don’t think NY hip hop is hot either! The average kid in NY is a Wayne, TI, Jeezy or Kanye fan nowadays. The new n-gga they all excited about is Drake, not Maino, Millz, Red Cafe etc. He can keep trying to do his King Canute thing for NY hip hop but I don’t see this tide turning any time soon!
Thats what NY needs more unity. And it isnt about shitting on other regions, but NY has spent too many years BEEFIN with each other.
