I see how one could take him for a Makiavelian figure, but I just don't see it. There are certain rules that are altered due to levels of melanin and perception and I don't think 5-0 entertains nuance or enough history to reveal a truly iconic persona. I think luck has a lot to do with what has propelled him (no hate), but that doesn't quite translate into the type of credibility & perspective this book requires.
