Yo is it or me or has "The Big Name Artists Co-Sign" replaced the "Mixtape/Radio DJ Co-Sign". Becuase honestly dudes like Mick Boogie, Funk Flex, Green Lantern, Clinton Sparks etc. don't have the same impact they used to have on hip hop at the end of the day they have to keep their boss satisfied. Like I don't give a shit if such and such hosts your shit. More than likely its not good music. It was just you finding "that connect" or probably paid them some cheese to host your shit. Of course it helps to have a big co-sign but there are only like 10 big names that can legitimize you , Kanye, TI, Jeezy, Akon, Wayne, Dr. Dre, 50, etc. If you aren't them than more than likely you can't help up and comers become apart of the "On" hip hop scene. And they can only take you so far.I think its really coming back to the music. Because at the end of the day Drake makes 10 times better music than alot of these "New School rappers" it shows in his shows and how much they play him on the radio. And don't say its all because of the Wayne Cosign because I believe he would be doing it with or without it. Bascially what I'm sayin is...If you make undeniably good music and market it the right way you will get your shine.
