In a recent interview with Billboard, Fif says that rappers are too focused on record sales.
“I think hip-hop in general has
changed dramatically based on artists reaching for other people. If
you look at the artists out there, I think they’re a reflection of
what was rock’n’roll. In general, they’re doing a style that isn’t
hip-hop. They’re doing things that aren’t traditional at all. What I fell in love with and inspired me to get into hip-hop is
dwindling away. I’d like to be a representation of that, because
there isn’t much of that left. I think people are so conscious of
the numbers they’re not being creative anymore.”
Because Fif is all about lyrics.
he’s only saying this because of the fact that he knows his record is going to sell poorly so he’s covering himself haha because 50 is only interested in 1 thing and thats money- and you are in no way are representing

From Murder Inc. to Game’s performance after leaving G-Unit to MTV Top 10 lists to Curtis v. Graduation, hasnt 50’s answer for everything always been “Look at my numbers”? The only thing that has changed dramatically is 50’s consistency. I used to respect his business mind, but he is losing it.
