50 Cent Talks About New LP

Friday, June 12 2009 6:17 AM EST | Posted by: B.Dot | Posted in: Focus

50 talks to the 1515 Boys about the new LP that he’s dropping next week.

“That’s why I titled it that. Creatively, this is not even

a mixtape. That’s why I put LP next to it. … My core audience will

understand it immediately, and it’s written specifically for that. I have two other tapes to follow it. Fourth of July, Sincerely Southside Part 2

coming out with mostly ’90s music on it. Timeless music, classic hit

records. Then, after that, there’s a G-Unit mixtape. It’s actually

untitled. I’ll be finished with it in the next day or so.”

You hear that folks, more aggressive content on the way. Check out the cover and tracklist after the jump.

In a recent interview with Billboard, Fif says that rappers are too focused on record sales.

“I think hip-hop in general has

changed dramatically based on artists reaching for other people. If

you look at the artists out there, I think they’re a reflection of

what was rock’n'roll. In general, they’re doing a style that isn’t

hip-hop. They’re doing things that aren’t traditional at all. What I fell in love with and inspired me to get into hip-hop is

dwindling away. I’d like to be a representation of that, because

there isn’t much of that left. I think people are so conscious of

the numbers they’re not being creative anymore.”

It’s been 24 month since Stack Bundles was murdered in the lobby of the Redfern Housing projects in Queens. Commemorating his passing, Karen Civil poured out a lil’ liquor with some of his Stacks’ closest colleagues and father, Raymond Elliott.

“I’ve been avoiding saying anything for interviews, but I’m proud of him. Really, really proud he was born with that gift, that light. All through his life, I knew he could do whatever he wanted to do,” said the elder Elliot. “He was my first born, my baby, a beautiful child who never had any ill will against anyone. I made a commitment to put the best album out I can for him.”
