Woodstock ’99 Ten Years Later: DMX

Funny how time flies. Yesterday marked a decade since DMX stepped onto the stage at Woodstock in Rome, NY. At the time, X was at the top of his game with three platinum albums and an entire record label on his back. Sorry Jay. Rule, my regards. I don’t know about you, but there isn’t anything more gobsmacking than watching 200,000 plus Caucasians recite, “My Niggas.” Ah, good times. Just because, after the jump, watch the crowd go apeshit during Kid Rock’s performance of “Bawitdaba.” Party on dudes.

Thank you for posting this. Dog might be “Eddie Kane” crazy today, but 10 years ago he was a beast embodying more than Nirvana type of angst and energy to pop culture. And Kid Rock…white Mink…Detroit Jersey and Red Dobby….thats my ni$$a for so.

I don’t think there could be any better feeling for an artist than to rock a crowd that big and that enthusiastic. Love the clips!

Even though I always hate on YN for dickriding Eminem (and I hate how you call him Marshall), I must admit I keep coming back to this site. The random postings like this are usually spot on and the website is well designed/easy to navigate. Keep up the good work!
