That track was hot. Good ish Wale.

  5. tderrough says:

Thank you for bringing storytelling back to hip-hop. This is not just words out of your mouth to a beat. You’re conversing with your listeners…telling a story. Me likes!

  6. Coolin says:

nice song, I have high hopes for this dude hopefully this cd can replace bp3 cause bp3 isn’t what i expected! I need real music and wale can deliver!

  7. DMVSMC says:

It’s so great to hear somebody finally talking bout something again. . . NICE Wale. Can’t wait for the album to drop.

  8. Brickzzgurl says:

It’s honestly refreshing to hear a REAL lyricist spitting some profound shit. Lately we’ve got entertaineres rappinga about nonsense. I do believe that “The Lyricist” is a fading breed, and I’m glad to see Wale representing. Continue to do so, hold it down……

And I won’t be suprised at the haters because when you’be been listening to Plies, Dorrough and Soulja Boy it’s kinda hard to appreciate real rap.

  9. John Muhfuckin Doe says:

Hot shit. Good decision to cut it from the album (I’ve heard it, and it wouldn’t have fit right). Thx for letting us hear it though.

  10. J. says:

  20. yeah right says:

His voice is crap, no charm, creativity wise i give it 3/10 stop playing

  21. ron says:

  22. divaupnva says:

loving the song ……if this didnt make the album then i know what did is just a more in depth look into the world of Wale

damn i cant wait til oct…….

  23. ehhhhhh says:

This is weak…dawg the lyrics on that first verse is very spacey like he wrote it on a faster track and tried to rerecord on this beat and this story line is all too familiar is hip hop i hope this is why he didnt use it on the album

    not likin it much

and i think hes a pretty good rapper

  24. sumthinlilbetta says:

yo wale is right behind jay z he is hottttt and this joint crank… whoever dont fucks w wale dont fuck with hip hop so you keep listening to all that cliche shit while we on this dope hip hop… it aint meant for you wack niggas anyway….. real wale for maryland

  25. isaac|a says:

Wale has been doing his thing, this dude is the definition of hip hop in progress, hip hop didnt die, and isnt dieing thanks to real dudes like Wale. 10/20/09 !!

  26. Juanito says:

This song is not all that. Yea the story’s interesting, but how many times have we heard it or something similar? A young female caught up in a messy situation and ends up dying in the end. I understand a lot of people are sick of the music that’s been hittin the streets lately, mostly because it’s all the same stuff, but this track exhibits the same qualities as so many songs before it. It’s unoriginal. Period.

Wale is a pretty decent rapper though.

  27. The OS says:

Good song, not great. Wale’s done better and shows how much he cares about putting out a quality product by dropping this song. But lol at the Are u serious comment. His voice is crap, not charming, and not creative? Why’s the voice matter? Don’t matter if you’re you got golden vocal cords if your lyrics are shit. Charm? Yeah because he needs to cater to 13 year old fangirls like Lil Wayne right? And lacking creativity? Listen to his first three mixtapes and tell me that none of them are creative.

  28. www.shakeymusic.com says:

    great song
