OB4CL 2 Success Brings Raekwon To Tearz

OB4CL2

You couldn’t see it coming down his eyes, but Rae says the success of Only Built 4 Cuban Linx II‘s made him cry.

“I was shocked,” says Raekwon, who released the project on his Ice H20 label through EMI. “My fans really stuck up for me in a way they never have before. It was one of those joyful, teary moments.”

Keeping up the momentum, his single “Catalina” is also getting serviced on your FM dial. *Throws up W*

Good for Rae…Clap for HIM!…Dope album! Although its longer (# of songs speaking), in my humble opinion its better than BP3..and I like BP3! OB4CL2 is a rare gem in “TODAY’S” hip-hop climate.

I am a Rae fan, but success. I saw the billboard numbers, he did 65,000 his first week. That is not a success. That is horrible, even during these times. Jay-z sold 8 times more than him, come on people.

Lol. u got a point, but i think Rae’s accepted that Jay-Z is a bigger artists than he his. So for him to sell 65K independently, is a great accomplishment. The album’s good as well.

    ^^^^^^

Your an idiot. Maino did 18,000 of major label push, Fab did 90+ off major label push, Hov is in a league off his own, so that’s no comparison. For 65K independent, that’s a good look (just ask Slaughterhouse, they did fucking 18,000 also).

  6. AG 3000 says:

Ok, independently 65,000 is a good number, but its still not a number to have a party for. I wish he would’ve put it out on a major and maybe he could’ve got better sales. I guess he is happy with it finally being released, so the soundscan doesn’t matter to him. Oh well. Its a good album!!!!
