As YN stated, last night was the taping of VH1′s Hip-Hop Honors at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in NY. This year, Def Jam was honored for its 25 years of operation. Before the ceremony, I caught DMX on the red carpet. He is often credited for changing—or as Jay-Z puts it, “DMXing the game” with his 1998 debut album It’s Dark And Hell Is Hot. Yo DMX will always be among best rapper alive for what he did from 1998-2002. Dude was the most heartfelt and skilled rapper out there with a crew full of all-stars that still run the rap game AND production game.
