Rap Radar

After we broke the first look of Em and Slaughterhouse appearing together in the “Forever” video, the Internets have been on fire with all types of rumors of how and why that went down. Well my fellow trusted voice, Miss Info, attempts to make sense of it. Minya says:

That Slaughterhouse appearance in “Forever,” was indeed a non-verbal announcement of the contract negotiations going on behind the scenes. For the past month, both sides have been working towards bringing the group to the Shady label. And that the gathering of Em and the guys at the shoot, is the first of more collaborations to come.

For now, Eminem is working on Relapse II, in Detroit. Joe is working on The Great Escape. Royce is preparing his Oct. release, StreetHop. Crooked I is working on an EP called Mr. Pig Face Weapon Waist (lol!). And Slaughterhouse will be on the road with TechN9ne for all of Oct and Nov. But fans all want to see Em plus Slaughter on a track (especially Em and Royce). Imagine the killer verse volleys!

I might have to ask my Jewish partner about all this.

Hey, who knew Lil Weezy had a lil’ game? Well he does according to superstar New Orleans point guard, Chris Paul. They even played hoops a few years back.

“I went to one of Wayne’s shows … it might have been after my rookie year,” Paul explained. “There was a basketball goal set up outside. He came, we shot the best out of 10. It surprised me — we shot the best out of 10, he made seven. But I came through and made eight.”

In somewhat related news, Wayne has no shot at being MTV’s Hottest MC. Ha! Polls are closed but they gotta give it to Hov.

Looks like one of my favorite Hot Boys’ long-delayed album is finally gonna see the light of day. I think the Grand Hustle/Atlantic connection is no mas, and E1 is the label that pays B. Gizzle. He’s so independent but still with major backing. Check the guest feature-laden lineup after the jump.

Looks like Hov wasn’t the only rap dude kickin’ it recently in Central Europe. Watch a white T’d-out Jason and his crew run through the town as he spits Hov’s verse from “Real As It Gets.” We see you Emory. F DeHaven for cavin’? Hey, I ain’t in it. Ha!

OK Juelz had a chance to change his mind but he’s goin’ with the Fuck Boy feature for his return to the scene. Again, I’m too bias to give it a fair shake, but after a couple of listens I can take it or leave it. Remember: Reagen Era, in stores, Neveruary 33rd, 2022.

Now that Joe Budden no longer saves the live streams from his blog TV channel, we must rely on WSHH rips to keep up with his foolery. In this clip, he talks about being single again and tryin’ to figure out how his newfound bachelor lifestyle fits in with his need for video documentation. (No, not like that. Ha!) Just peep game, you Slaughterhouse stans.

I’ve never seen this guy do this much promo. Must be workin’ though. 300K in a second week? MTV hand over that Hottest MC crown. Anyways, I usually cringe when rappers do these strange international shows. I’m gonna close my eyes, you tell me how it goes. I suppose I can watch… later.
