I was born and raised up north (Detroit) but I lived in the south for years. My entire family is from Atlanta and I love Southern music and culture but… There IS a difference between Southern artist that make good creative content and people that are only in it to exploit the music. I personally don’t recognize anything creative about OJ the Juiceman. It has nothing to do with his subject matter. Young Jeezy is one of the most metaphorically creative artist out there and he only makes dope man music. I think OJ’s music – although annoyingly catchy – is some thoughtless bullshit. Probably because I’m a grown ass man (28 years old). That’s not a Southern problem. There is garbage music everywhere. The great thing about hip hop is that it is whatever we say it is. Meaning that I although I wouldn’t waste the cost of electricity to upload an OJ song, I don’t think we should be defining what music is for anybody else. If you like OJ, cool. If not, keep it moving.

Why is someone a hater if they don’t think you are talented? If you get on stage and get bood does that mean you’re really good but people just want to hate? If that was the case people would hate on any and everything from the South but they don’t.

T.I. doesn’t get booed up here. Wayne doesnt get booed up here. Jeezy doesn’t get booed up here. Juvi doesn’t get booed up here. Ludacris doesn’t get booed up here. Bun B gets much love up here.

What is the difference between these “southern” artist who get much love in nyc and O.J.?

They are good artist and O.J. is not. He is the protege of another dude who is not on the same level as any of the REAL ARTISTS that I mentioned.

This is how I see it I have rocked on stage from Mario to Wu Tang Clan & I am recently goin to be the official opening act for the upcomin Raekwon tour. Any artist that takes that stage that holds a mic gotta do the knowledge on what they consider hip hop! My music isn’t raw & gritty like Wu Tang but I must be doin somethin right to be accepted by Wu fans, who happen to be the toughest fans to perform in front of. I have seen them throw bottles at artists onstage. The Wu fans will test your hip hop once you hit that stage. & if you fail you better get back up again cuz I see it like this if you can have several successful performances at a Wu Tang show then you can perform anywhere! October 27th “God.Love & Music” hit stores.
