The only thing memorable about Shyne is that one night when that genius pulled out and let off a loaded gun in a crowded Times Square nightclub. LOL! That is THE ONLY reason why niggas remember him. Because he actually lived one of these stories you hear rappers rhyme about. But that doesn’t make him a good rapper!!!

His lyrics, the basis of rap, are fucking trash.
His beats, the foundation of Hiphop music, are weak at best.
Puff played him by forcing him wack beats on him and then played him during the trial.

Not to mention that Shyne must have gotten raped way too many times in the bing to convert to Judaism. Why would he want to be a fucking Jew? Strike one, two and three!

The bottom line is Shyne’s overall talent and creativity level is well below that of the real rappers out here.

I can’t wait for Shyne to drop another album and watch it flop. Meanwhile real BK representatives like Skyzoo are doing the culture justice with their music. Shyne the fucking kike could take a cue from him and others.

Shyne sounds like Biggie. It’s the only reason anyone heard him and gave him the opportunity to make a come up. Even so, Shyne would never get mistaken for BIG by anyone who knows their shit – their style is not the same.

To those sayin Shyne doesn’t have classic songs…. y’all don’t know shit about New York hip hop (which is the essence) and you probably don’t smoke like we do – dude had Hit Men when they still had dope shit – his scrapped debut coulda been all Top 40 singles at the time and you heard half the beats reused on enough joints to know it. Godfather Buried Alive has some of hardest beat selection that year.

And even if Barrington murked “Bad Boyz” who’s gonna say that’s not a fuckin banger?? Dude might not be reinventing content or breaking any lyrical barriers down but he spits memorable lines….come on

As for the video – dude comin out on some enlightened-one shit, which means we’ll either never hear from him again or he’s gonna come back on some crazy cult hero type shit.

Now, that’s not even the most important part. What’s crucial to remember is that Shyne’s actual rhyming and rapping skills are basically nonexistent. He has little to no poetic quality to his material. His subject matter rotates between guns, drugs and women. Not very original. The actual music isn’t innovative either. On top of all that, we have to deal with him sounding like BIG. Not a winning combination.

I would love to see Shyne in a battle with a real rapper. So many unheralded dudes deserve the props he gets. Why celebrate this dude? What has he done to deserve this praise? What has he said in the past to make me want to hear what he says now? What am I missing? Someone please fill me in here. Does anybody really think can improve the quality of rap now that he’s out? No one else thinks this is a joke?
