alrite Nate…i understand yo point…but wit all that said, Jay-Z just DID the same thing and I don’t see nothin’ but ‘rave’ reviews over his joint…why is 50 always hated because he creates controversy to sell?..what’s wrong wit’ dat?…what’s wrong wit’ 50 havin’ ’shoot-em’-up’ songs wit’ a mix of female joints (I THOUGHT THAT WAS BALANCE?)…what’s wrong wit’ 50 doin’ what he do?…like I said I understand yo point fully…but what 50 does is what no other rapper can do, period (as far as provocatively, and more). why do people continue to hate HIS ‘formula’ for success?…plus, creativity in hip-hop is pretty much obsolete my nigga. so for you to say that this artform is generally young, may be true, but it’s one of the most listened/composed forms of music. EVERY FUCKIN’ RAPS!…what can you truly concoct in your MIND, that another artist haven’t done?…besides that, you folks really just lean towards ‘commercially’ successful music. forgot about the ideas, topics, and whatnot from the underground MC’s (I KNOW!, it’s so many you won’t be able to start searchin’)…so what topics can be truly covered, that haven’t?…anything after this is a ‘modification’ to what’s already been done…

I feel that 50 Cent made Before I Self Destruct for the fans and fans only. His core fans wanted another aggressive album like GRODT so that’s why he wrote BISD the way he did and it came out very good. You have great radio songs like Baby By Me, Do You Think About Me, Get It Hot, and Hold Me Down. Then you have the aggression in Death To My Enemies, Psycho, Crime Wave, Strong Enough, Stretch and The Invitation. And then he gets personal in tracks So Disrespectful and Then Days Went By. The album is pure fire! I know alot of 50 fans and even the haters will enjoy this album.
