    I’m happy for Kanye. Hope he is truely humbled by all the honors he’s getting.

  2. […] Pitchfork named Kanye West’s We Were Once A Fairytale one of the best videos of 2009. So a little while ago Kanye finally spoke on the movie on his blog. Check it out. Via RR. […]

  3. Wow says:

    Ayo. What if Kanye is mac DIESEL in disguise? They both love caps lock and can’t take other peoples opinion.

  4. Ty says:

    Congrats to Yeezy . Another worthwhile diversion while he plots his takeover of hip hop .

    I personally think he is poised to actually pull it off too . If his next album is what I think it will be, he will be the undisputed number one dude in the game . Remember I said it . He honestly lent a little swag to Jay for BP3, Wayne isn’t focused enough, Drake is too manufactured and controlled, Fif is on the decline, Em loves the art but not the fame that comes with it, etc etc. Ye has the skill, the creativity, the desire, the willingness to be a star (whether he wants to admit it or not, if we started ignoring Ye he’d go crazy in a month) and the time put in , to take it over . He’s a classic album away from the throne. Anybody disagree ?

  5. ojolo says:

    Cosign Ty.

    (Though Jay and Nas are on a category by themselves…I know what you mean tho).

  6. JohnBlack says:

    That “All Caps Everything” mode he’s been on is really starting to get annoying.

  7. pgetsitin says:

    @Ty I totally agree

  8. 4real...IMO says:

    Ye’s lack of poise and repeated inability to control himself when he is not the focus of attention is LAME!!! His desire to decide or react to who is worthy of awards shows his lack for humility! It’s too bad it took him to make a public ass of himself towards America’s favorite girl for him to present to be more humble and make a public apology for not staying in his place! Ye knew once he stepped out of line with Taylor Swift that America was gone to remind him that his fame could be gone in a flash if he did not stay in his place hence the need to retreat and hide for a while! He makes the industry money so that explains the rush of accolades from the press in the last several weeks…it is only to show favor in the public’s eye so that we can easily forget his misbehavior until they are ready to create another money maker to take his place! I’m a fan of Ye’s and I believe that he is very talented but sometimes things are just obvious! And yes I do agree that Jay and Nas are in a league by themselves!

  9. ojolo says:

    ^ you sound like the fucking glen beck of hiphop.

  10. 4real...IMO says:

    @ojolo: No Glen Beck over here! It was one thing to get on national television and say: “George Bush don’t care about black people!” in the midst of Bush leaving thousands of African Americans stranded in Katrina but America was not gone to allow him to hop on stage and rudely snatch the microphone from who America considers a sweet, innocent and young Taylor Swift! Let’s be real!

  11. ojolo says:

    fuck that. kanye kept it real on both occasions.

    they went overboard because she was a little white girl and he was a black man.

  12. sideshowRaheem says:

    @4real…IMO

    You make no sense. Kanye got accolades from Rolling Stone Mag, Pitchfork and EW how do they benefit from this? How doe they make money from this? Do they own part of Def Jam or Universal records? They could have just as easily given it to someone else. Nigga conspiracies are the funniest shit in the world.

  13. Papology says:

    Fuck Kanye, your man aint shit and he deserves a beatdown for all the shit he did, REGARDLESS of how much he has “changed”. You cant fuck up and apologize every time and think its ok. Sometimes you deserve a beatdown.

  14. yaboitone says:

    ^ “he deserved a beatdown?” nigga please stop posting.

  15. dickinyamom says:

    Man fuck Taylor Swift yeah, if he jumped up on the stage and did that shit to a young black female R&B singer nobody wouldn’t have nothing to say about it. But because it was a lil white country girl it was a national tragedy, they talked about that shit like her molested her. I’m not saying his actions was right not at all but soon as they throw a nigga under the bus all you coons come running to jump on the bandwagon. That incident shouldn’t take away from that man’s talent and creativity it’s crazy how people so quick to judge somebody…smdh

  16. 4real...IMO says:

    @ojolo: He may have kept it real as you so stated but let’s not forget who runs this industry and it took Kanye to be reminded of that when he ran up on that “white girl” like you so accurately stated! And your statement about Kanye being a “black man” is the point….white America felt it was not his place as a “black man” to disrespect one of theirs especially the way he did it! Regardless if he was telling the truth or not…he acted like a arrogant and unrudely child and he had to be taught a lesson wether you look at it as “they went overboard” or not! That is why Beyonce so gracefully corrected his mistake publicly with her speech and rightfully giving Taylor Swift her moment back! Who the hell is Kanye to tell this “white girl” she is not worthy of anything and that is why his ass was scared of the blacklash and the public tearful apology on nation late night television! call me what you won’t but I’m surely no dumb and neither is Kanye…he knew he f*cked up BIG TIME!

  17. 4real...IMO says:

    @sideshowRaheem: Rolling Stone Mag, Pitchfork and EW are directly benefitting from giving Kanye accolades! Accolades are to show FAVOR in the public’s eye so that we can easily forget his misbehavior! Anyone who has every enrolled in a psychology class should know this…it is a smoke screen! if you give a person positive press and praises it is more than likely that the majority will begin to believe the hype…ie forgetting about what that person may have done wrongly in the past! When this is done accurately and in a positive way it is beneficial to the industry…the person becomes a positive figure making it more likely for people to buy into whatever is being sold ie Kanye getting magazine coverage, Kanye making another album or Kanye endorsement product all=money for the industry! So explain to me how does that not make sense? Kanye is popular in today’s culture why would the industry (magazines, labels ect.) not want to correct the negative spotlight placed upon him by giving him positive press coverage! They all make money from him! If Kanye is on the cover of a magazine or highlighted in a magazine it will sale right or wrong?!

  18. mikedreamsmusic says:

    I am completely confident that Kanye will deliver the dopest album of next year.

    I just think it’s meant to be. People started to write him off with the 808s thing. I think he already knew that would happen and people would be naive. All the more reason for him to come back with something astounding and shut up all the critics.

    After “Late Registration” I remember I was like “Dang, what is Ye going to do now to top that. It’s almost like he’s at the point of no return, and then BAM, he drops GRADUATION, which basically reinvents himself and surprises us again.

    On top of that, his latest leaked verse “I’m So Appauled” sound real close to some 2003 Kanye, so I think he’s on the right track.

  19. Papology says:

    Reading comments on here is so funny. You know why?

    You either have some brilliant thoughts to read or some of the most ignorant and dumb comments ever. Glad i dont see some of yall in real life.

    How long can some of you survive with your head outside of Kanye´s asshole?

  20. sideshowRaheem says:

    @4real…IMO

    You really are a dumb fuck. If these magazines are soooo dependent on Kanye then why did they trash him in the first place? Why not just sweep everything under the rug? After all THEY were the ones pouring fuel on the fire in the fist place, right?I don’t need to take a psychology class to realize you theory makes no sense. BTW, the last time I checked the both the music and magazine industries are in deep trouble and putting Kanye or anybody on the cover of Rolling Stone aint gonna save them.

  21. 4real...IMO says:

    @sideshowRaheem…God bless you and I hope life treats you well! I hope your education benefits you in life!!!
