At the 3rd Annual Okayplayer Holiday Jammy Tuesday night, Dante and Black Thought’s crew shared the stage at B.B. King Bar & Grill. Above, “Casa Bey”. Down bottom, “Umi Says”. Enjoy the holidays, folks. Tomorrow may never come.
Mos Def is a talented MC and outstanding lyricist…I find it hard for the casual fan to appreciate his music unless you were very familiar with his work because the lyrics are hard to decipher…Its like another language on the casa bey performance. He has charisma, the voice, etc and legendery Roots crew. I hate to sound negative cuz Mos ALWAYS shows love, but I just wanna enjoy the talent.
