i guess its not meant to be out yet…

  3. eightysbaby says:

I doubt it’ll make it now that its leaked all over the place. Sites be forgetting that niggas can still download streamed songs, so its basically out there now.

Leaks ruining another rap album SMH

  4. yaboitone says:

To me hiphop is like a bucket full of water with a hole in it. Right now the bucket is on a slow leak and things are looking real bleek, but JUST as that bitch is about to go completely empty, somebody like Lupe fills that bitch back up with some shit like this.

and f**k EVERYBODY who acknowledges the fact that my metaphor was lame as shit after I do. i haven’t slept in almost 48hrs. so suck a dick wit aids on the tip. lol.

point is, lame or not, u got my point.

  5. generalses says:

LUPE IS KILLING IT RIGHT NOW ,DONT KNOW WHY HE’S LEAVING.
SEE THIS IS RADIO READY RIGHTHERE. THE NEPTUNES BEATS ARE OFF THE PLANET !
    I’M BEAMING…

  6. andy says:

cosign…but Pharrell needs to be singin that hook. the song should start with pharell singin over those piano rffs…not lupe. Lupe voice is borin when singing like this. lu needs to save his bretah for more those verses…shits hot

  7. […] Autotune-free). No download link here, this being an alleged album track and all. Shouts to RR. Share and […]

  8. Boombapster says:

  10. trae23 says:

damn lupe is on right now this track dope

  11. Coolin says:

    Wow…best track I’ve heard in a while.

  12. Coolin says:

Oh and I understand where he’s coming from when he says he doesn’t want this stuff leaked…but it’s part of the industry. It ain’t gonna change. A lot of artists think they can change that, but it’s just the way it is. People are hungry!!!

  13. Nathaniel says:

    dope…very dope.

but i wish the shit hadn’t leaked, smh. he should have recorded lasers like he did the cool, to cut that leak shit out.

  14. Ty says:

This is Lupe in his element . Thoroughly feelin’ this joint right here . The wordplay is clever as ever and for the first time in a while he spit over a beat that I can actually nod my head to and enjoy . His beat choice lately had been a little off putting , but maybe that’s just me .

Lasers will be a classic if this is a sign of things to come, whether this particular joint makes the cut or not . In my opinion I’d say add another track to the album instead of taking this one off because it leaked . I’d say just leave it on there, it’s quality enough to survive having been heard before .

  15. BE says:

Lupe’s music is always getting leaked. Damn.

Anyway, Lupe is the greatest I’ve ever heard do it. I don’t care what anyone says.

  16. Afura says:

    This is fucking Ill

  17. ultimate sharingan user says:

im glad you stopped playing it. even though i already listed. I fail as a lupe fan

  18. Ty says:

I know a lot of people hate it when these pampered overpaid rappers complain , but I actually feel Lupe on this . It’s too bad that people can’t or won’t wait for him to drop what he wants when he wants . He makes quality material and deserves to make the artistic impression he wants and make the money he needs to keep being able to put our albums . Niggas love Lu but they act like they don’t know they can make it so Lu has to get a regular job and stop rhyming .

I do think he overstated it a bit though . A more fitting analogy to my mind would be someone going to work for a couple of weeks and instead of a check on Friday , they receive a letter that states that some unseen higher up has decided the services that had been rendered were donated to a third party . No compensation would be given for the work hours put in . Hard work, no check for it . That’s what this is . For those that don’t work a “regular” job the analogy still works if you imagine you bought a ki to flip and somebody stole it and gave it away for free . How would you eat ? How would you pay back the person who may have fronted you the money for the ki ?

Long story short , it’s a dirty game but it’s the way it’s played now . Lu has to tighten his circle and step his security game up the best he can . Cause these hackers are gettin’ real real good at their craft . I wish him the best . The internet and hackers are gonna have the whole industry bankrupt in a minute . Once the generation that actually buys Susan Boyle CD’s dies out, it’s a wrap .

  19. Ha!!! says:

Artistic Impression! That’s the word I was looking for!

  20. Ha!!! says:

Oh and thanks TY! You write long paragraphs on rap website who has visitors that smoke so much weed they can only comprehend the word “fiya” and “hot”!

  21. koa29 says:

I feel bad for the dude, but he must be happy that mostly everyone is sayin it’s dope

  22. pepe le pew says:

    these rappers are bitches.

  23. Boombapster says:

Hey, at least it helped promote youraudiofix.com who helped leak this track. (thanks, Kenny!)
Hope that Lupe don’t Farenheit 9/11 that site now that it’s known.
Sike. Hope Lupe DO Farenheit 9/11 http://www.youraudiofix.com for leaking his shit, especially Kenny.

    BB$

  24. koa29 says:

Mad respect for RR taking this off.

  25. Ty says:

    @ Ha!!!!

Yep I sure do, I’m verbose , what can I say ?? LOL Even as long as they may be they are still pretty concise and some people seem to read ’em through and either agree or disagree with ’em , so I’m good with that .

Oh , and you’re most welcome. Ha!

  26. Big Mike says:

I understand what Lupe is saying but many Records get leaked nowadays. There is nothing nobody can do about it. It happens to alot of artist. That’s just how it is in this day and age.

  27. I.S.A.A.C. says:

Good job RR for not playing this after the statement was released. I too listened to it when it first leaked, amazing track. Next time i hear it, it will be when i buy Lazers.

  28. real talk says:

So I guess no one will be listening to leak records or DLing albums for now on? If you respect Lupe’s need to not have his music STOLEN…I’m assuming that goes for all artists because I’m sure they feel just as passionate about their music!!!!

  29. REAL says:

If this kid wants to represent for the future and be one of the new leaders in music he needs to move with the times and be willing to move with the energy he speaks about so heavenly in his raps.

  30. Real Ridiculous says:

    @ Real
So, youthink he should work for free? Is that the “future” of the game that you are referring to? That sounds like the demise of the game to me. Who’s going to willingly put in all that time and energy for free?

  31. Saverappnow!!! says:

this dude is trippin about this how many people get there shit leaked,,,he is making a ass of himself because his fans want to hear his music…act like u have a hard life it could be alot harder quit complaining over simple things and get over it…ur still gunna make ur money.

ohh the last few things i have heard from lupe makes him sound like a baby plain and simple good music but sounds like lupe forgot about the days when he made music and was happy to have people listen to it..
rap needs to get back to the good times when people just wanted to be heard wether leaked or not its good that publicity

  32. Nathaniel says:

some of yall niggas just dont understand how much time, energy, money, and cooperation from label heads, engineers, producers, etc goes into making music on this level. if you get no return on yours and the lable’s investment, you can no longer make music at the calibur you aspire to, nor can u expand into bigger and better things…

all of which benefits the fan. paying 9.99 for quality art like the shit lupe makes is like asking niggas to take a bullet in the temple around here. a shame.

whatever you support with your money…ANY thing that TAKES money to produce…without a return, it can’t survive. period. the more frivolous this downloading and leaking shit becomes, the more real the possibility of music being very fucked up in the not so far away future.

you can go to church every sunday, but if nobody is putting money in the collection plate, eventually that church will cease to exist. support music, businesses, institutions that are WORTH IT.

lupe fiasco music is definitely valuable to mainstream hip hop.

  33. Nathaniel says:

oh and shout out to the RR niggas for taking the song down. respect.

  34. curren$y says:

shut the fuck up winey bitch…its your music, learn to keep it under raps….jets x taylor gang

  35. wtf says:

OMGZ WTF, LUPE IZ TEH MOST DUMB.
    INTERNET PIRACY FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  36. james bond says:

Nathaniel – is he really? so your calling him a central figure in mainstream hip-hop..fuck outta here, maybe for skate-board hip-hop. BTW, WTF is mainstream these days…and underground? no difference really, you can jump over so quick now it’s ridiculous…But Lupe’s not mainstream, nor does he need to go mainstream, HENCE!, why he’s so aggitated with leaks and whatnot…if he WAS a mainstream artist, he wouldn’t bag on it as much. Wayne is MAINSTREAM, Jay is MAINSTREAM, Gucci Mane, can NOW be classified as MAINSTREAM, etc. Guys like that, take a loss everytime, 50 included (for this BISD album). But they have so much wealth behind them (not just completely all from them), that a few leaks = a quicker response from the critics/fans, the same exact people you put it the fuck out for in the first place. If they happen to get ahold of it before you make a monetary gain, OH FUCKIN’ WELL!… I guess appetizers shouldn’t be served in a local grocery store neither to get potential buyers a sample?…..fuck outta here, quit the crying and make more fucking music. 1 Album a year and a mixtape ain’t enough in a market that demands more. Rappers are arrogantly mad that they have to actually WORK, WORK, and fucking WORK to actually stay afloat, and that kills them inside. it used to be 10% work, 80% party, and 10% rest. Times changed, and I’m glad!…

<—off to pirate the fuck out of anything made by Lupe Fiasco

  37. JC says:

SMH…. James Bond is living proof of why platinum will soon be the new diamond status. And FYI Lupe is Mainstream, hes signed to a major label and hes made platinum before.

  38. Pain says:

Hilarious that the track was immediately taken down after this shit came out

All seriousness though, Lupe is over-reacting a bit here

  39. darrius says:

Lupe needs to RELAX everybody get leaked he should jus be happy people love his music so much they do damn near anything to get it. Lupe jus needs to give us that one its Christmas man give ya fans a gift. And i definately download and saved the track im not deleting it sorry lu. The track is hot too. And also no need to press charges damn u tryyin get someone lock forreal i dont support that next time jus keep ya shit tight. Its not they fault it got out its u and ur crew fault really.

ps definately coppin the next cd to add to the discography even tho ima burn it first lol.

  40. atribecalledchris says:

Just because of this corny little text speech, I’m DEFINITELY bootlegging the shit out of his record. I had no plans on listening to it otherwise, but he can go fuck himself. Somebody “kidnapping your sister”? Drama queen.

  41. Wanker man says:

Lupe is definitely mainstream because he has a major label budget. He’s not commercial in a sense that he doesn’t make pop music or compromise his love for music to make a song that everyone can dance to. Thanks for reading haha.

  42. promoking says:

i could make this song inmy house with a $500 dollar pro tools ,reason and a mic… stop acting like it takes so much money to make music.. the music buisness been raping motherfuckers for years now they getting raped back.. its called karma fuck square ass lupe, mad cuz he cant get rich off people if people like it they’ll still buy . ask fruity fiasco if he ever listened to a song on the web or downloaded a song. i hope someone kidnapp his moms so he can back up his metaphor.. fuck lupe his music will never be on my site again.. give the man what he wants… no promo… carlos ” promo ” king

  43. Teddy says:

shut the fuck wassalu get over it its 2010 n shits never going back to pre- album leaking and downloading if anythings shits only gonna get worst (for you musican industry people) us as fans could give a fucks us we love our idols n musicians n music but fuck yah if u want us to feel sorry for u n shit about that leaking shit man u prob make more money in a month then we see in a year so we hardly giv a fuck about ur financial woes we got our own trick and we happen to be saving money downloadin shit for free support the industry my dick industry dont pay my bills

  44. Nathaniel says:

    @ James bond

i called him valuable. valuable. i never said central figure.

he’s valuable because he brings balance. good balance. lyrically, subject matter wise, topics, message, influence on shit like fashion, etc and the culture as a whole.

he’s mainstream like wanker man said. for those exact reasons. Superstar was #1 on 106 & Park for atleast a week n a half. he has two grammys. he went gold selling 100% positive, message driven music with minimal profanity and no club/party anthems. with no assistance from the commercial machine. (t-pain, the dream, lil wayne, etc)…u know, the usual suspects. and he did it with 90% in house (Soundtrakk) production. on his very own roc-a-fella: 1st&15th Productions

^no underground nigga is doing anything like that. and T.I. and Jeezy were on the remix to Superstar. he’s mainstream. he just isn’t art compromisingly commercial.

  45. obama says:

Wow I thought this douche-bag understood the direction of the industry… Clearly I was mistaken… Note to Lupe: YOU are your own worst enemy! Attacking (or begging and pleading with) your fans is not a good look… How did you miss the FACT that media is free now, homeboy?!?! Get used to it and stop listening to your bosses at the Major Label that you whore for… You got your advance so I know it ain’t touching your pockets… Oh yeah… Note to Lupe’s fan(s): Share that shit… If you download some shit you like, spread it around… If you’re not feeling it, throw it out… It’s that simple…

  46. Chilly says:

    Lupe you still my nigga!!!

  47. Rap Radar says:

Lupe could suck a GREAT BIG DICK

  48. Ben says:

Huge fan of lupe, but he’s in no need of money. Not to say he should work for free, but I don’t think that he’s the guy who should be worried about a leaked track, maybe an up and coming indie artist could make this claim but a mainstream grammy nominated artist? The blog post contradicts a lot of what he appears to stand for in his music. I always thought Lupe would rather have people hear his music than making sure he gets every last buck out of Lazers.

It’s ironic that he signed it “friend of the people.”

  49. anon says:

im sorry but its his music he has a right to make every last dollar off of his music. dont matter how much he has. you people need to bust your ass toward something and see how it feels to be robbed. I’m wealthy by working like twelve plus hours a day and if somebody stole what i worked so hard to get id be pissed too. lupe used to live off of bologna sandwiches and I did too. to get somewhere and still go through this kind of shit sucks……… america is capitalistic dont forget that………….. he may look rich but you don’t know his personal life. its simple as that

  50. […] I heard Enuff play this today. Guess my buddy feels we’re worthy enough to hear this one now. Thanks to Atlantic and the far-too-kind mountain […]
