This is a good song…Still lovin that Shade 45 post where dude asked Bunyan to be his mgr…Wonder what happened with that? He seems so reluctant to release material…I wonder bout dude as an signee because of this, but the talent is there…

    “Six mile, Seven mile
    Hamilton, Gratiot…”

I like that shit..I was almost ready to claim that nigga, but he’s from the NO…Detroit stand up!

    YN, this photo gets respect.

The Nobel Dre Ali in front of the Moorish Science Temple circa 1928. FTW

There is another picture like this floating around with Marcus Garvey and Elijah Muhammad among the group. The actual photo was shown to me . . . I saw it once and never saw it again, literally.

  6. D.J. Enuff says:

I still won’t play this on the radio. smh @ me… I lost..

  7. big big tune ….hiphop is back ….hiphiop as balls again ……remove our so – called top ten hip hop stars and rebuild!!! only then can this music survive.

“This Chi-town fellow’s Joe Budden-like Internets hype irks me.”

yet, you’re ridin Jay E’s dick over one track. damn… nigga u dumb

  9. Fred Jones says:

“yet, you’re ridin Jay E’s dick over one track.”

So? Would it be any different if Jay had dropped 50 tracks? Quality over quantity son.

  10. yaboitone says:

^ You must’ve missed the point? He said Lupe’s catalog didn’t match his ego. OF COURSE it does? Lupe is a genius. By YN’s logic Jay-Electronica is better than Lupe after one song??
MOTHAF***A PLEASE! Not on his best day.

and this song is overrated. Even like Joell’s freestyle on it better.
    (duck from shots).

  11. Thatdude. says:

Can’t really say that fred.. lu does have quality AND quantity. Track is nice though so ride that dick hardddd YN.

  12. koa29 says:

I’m not dissin Jay E’s track, it’s dope.

But i just dont understand how YN is basically mocking Lupe’s “internet-buzz” (even tho the dude dropped 2 dope ass albums, won a grammy, but i digress)… then he goes ahead and is all over Jay E’s dick cuz of 1 dope song he dropped…and mind you, all the buzz Jay E has right now is that exact internet buzz that YN was mocking lupe for… smh.

  13. koa29 says:

And i agree to a point that Exhibit C is overrated… In my opinion, MCs like Jay, Nas, Em, etc. can put out a track real similar to it. but they don’t, cuz that shit don’t sell to the masses… so why they gunna waste their time?

Jay E dropped the track… it’s nice… but it ain’t gettin him no Weezy fame, ill tell u that much

  14. Young Sha says:

WHERE IS V5???????? FUCK U WHOO KID!!!!!!!

  15. Dashing says:

@koa29. He dont care about selling to the masses. He’s making dope music for rel hip hop heads. And I bet Jay, Nas, and Em would kill to have the kind of buzz of one track that Jay Electronica had with this joint.

  16. koa29 says:

Yeah, i didn’t think that masses thing through. It was dumb.

Idk, i’m not taking any shots at jay e… at all. shouldnt of said that, cuz that’s not what i was getting at.

it just bothers me the way YN does his business around here. I enjoy bdot’s reporting, i don’t like YN. thats all.

  17. LO says:

AM I the only one who doesnt really like this song???? The beat sounds likes a broken record at a funeral?? MAybe i shud listen again

  18. Nathaniel says:

the answer is simple. this track is reminiscent of a lot of rap we’ve seen (especially in the 90’s). for an old head like YN, its right within his comfort zone.

i’m listening to Jay-Elec, he’s dope, but he’s nothing we haven’t seen before. very very Nas like IMO. and thats not a diss….he’s a dope MC.

weird though, he’s from NO…Magnolia projects, and i’ve never heard anybody outside of message boards speak his name. i’m from atlanta. people don’t even know erykah and he had a child. he’s got some work to do. he’s dope though. definitely following in the tradition of 5% influenced hip hop. indeed.

  20. B.Dot says:

And i agree to a point that Exhibit C is overrated

    ^
Looks like we can agree on something. I said this a while ago. Hence YN’s snarky remark. I think the record is GOOD, BUT highly overrated.

  21. Nerd_Rich says:

Song if far from being overrated..Jay elect is the best rapper out right now and I would put him and lup nexk to neck…They have completly different styles, but both have something that say in their music that makes a point…It’s sad that we have come to the days where hip-hop is falling off then we got clowns such as the ones on here talking down on real hip-hop tracks and prasing all this garbage..And FYI joell ortiz version was garbage..TRY AGAIN!!!!!!!!

  22. dogonsociety says:

this shit is better then lupes discography

and joell ortiz should be banned from the internet and studios after how bad he did on the track

  23. pause says:

thank u dj enuff, sounded right

  24. dogonsociety says:

everyone in slaughterhouse is wack with the exception of royce da 5’9′ who is one of the illest

  25. DOOSO says:

    @DOGONSOCIETY…CHURCH..to both comments.

  26. The Editor says:

I do not think a lot of people who claim to listen to music really do, this song is okay, not great, lyrics were okay, not great, he masterfully put lines together that were cohesive but as far as a game changer and not knowing whether to play it on radio, made no sense to me, and the beat, its a good BLAZE JOINT but c’mon son, but with the Snoop joint doing what its doing and now this getting the love, we can officially say 88 is back, kidding, but really not, this is like a blueprint beat that didn’t make the cut

  27. DOOSO says:

^ how can you say the shit jay elec is putting out isnt game changing. and say its not great but use the word masterfully in the same sentence? if a master did anything it would probably be great..no?

  28. Jimbo Slice says:

for what it’s worth, I’m a music aficionado and a music mogul in the making. what I’d like for you to do is click the link and tell me that Remi is wack. If you think he’s wack I want you to write Remi’s wack any chance you get. But I doubt you will. This the viral beginnings of a Blast Music Concepts campaign to bring HOT music back.
