Since the premiere of Jay-Z’s new video, more conspiracy theories have emerged, accusing Hov of being involved in the Illuminati. This morning on Twitter, Talib shared his thoughts on the propaganda.

We’ll never really know what people are TRULY about unless we are them…or God. So I think the speculation now just becomes a waste of time. I personally believe that Jay dropped this video with that stuff in it personally just to mess with people who love to speculate all the time (which has been me from time to time…I can’t even front). I wish people would stop conflating freemasonry, the illuminati and devil worship. They’re 3 separate things.
Freemasonry is not a secret society. There’s tons of reliable information out there about it if you’re really that interested. It’s basically a modern day, Europeanized version of the Ancient Egyptian mystery systems (African mystery systems). Oh by the way, Christianity and Judaism are also based on things from Ancient Egypt too. It all comes from Africa Black man (and woman). You have a great history that you need to read up on.
The illuminati is a theory. It’s not real. There was a real illuminati in Europe in the 1700s but that’s not what people refer to when they say it nowadays. When they say it now they’re talking about a shadow world government that is conspiring to unite all countries into one (new world order). Again, this is a theory. There’s no real concrete proof this exists. 2Pac created the idea of Killiuminati, which was a concept that killed the *idea* of the illuminati. According to Pac the idea of the illuminati was just another way to keep people’s self-esteem down, especially African-Americans. If you believe there’s some secret powerful organization keeping you down then you’re not going to try as hard to suceed in life. You need to kill that belief and start to work harder. That’s why Pac did 5 songs a day and had a crazy work ethic. He didn’t believe in the illuminati, he believed in himself (self-esteem).
And devil worship, well that’s worshiping the devil. Baphomet or whatever. I haven’t done that much reading into that.
As far as Jay-Z goes he’s not illuminati (because it doesn’t exist). He might be a mason. Also, he seems to have a new found obsession with Aleister Crowley, who was involved in the Ordo Templi Orientis and Thelema. The Beatles and Michael Jackson featured Crowley’s face on their album covers by the way (Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band & Dangerous respectively). Jay featured Crowley’s face in the “Run This Town” video and also was seen wearing a “do what thou wilt” shirt in interviews (which comes from Thelema). While Ordo Templi Orientis (OTO) does include Baphomet I’m not ready to call Jay a devil worshiper yet. I need to do some more reading about it before I come to a conclusion.

I appreciate your perspective and your articulation of your points . I agree with some of what you said, but here are the points we differ on .
Firstly I disagree that you have to understand or believe in something to be influenced by it . That theory just doesn’t hold water in any arena . Do you have to believe in poison to be poisoned ? Have to believe in gravity to fall when you jump off of a roof ? Believe you are being brainwashed to be brainwashed ? These spirits are real and if you believe in them or not they can influence you and the people you live around thereby affecting your life directly (through you) or indirectly (through someone else towards you) .

There’s like this whole undertone of religiosity that your responses seem to have. Saving souls doesn’t start with Jay-Z, or saving young people from him. You seem to be a Jesus man so, I’m sure you know that aside from commenting on the evil wiles of Jay-Z as portrayed in 2 videos and a few lyrics, the false teachers in the churches (and synagogues and mosques) need to be brought under subjection. The whole “form of godliness, but denying the power” thing needs to be brought under subjection. The church has become a joke, and to the degree that it has, you are right to say that Jay is more influential. But that is a failure on the church, and not necessarily a coup for Jay.
He didn’t grow up in the church and a lot of effed up ish happened to him throughout his life, just like in every other hood. There are always people running in and out of church – especially the poor and disenfranchised. But you never see the presence or hand of God moving or operating in their lives. And so you say, “WHEN JESUS CAN’T SAVE YOU, LIFE STARTS WHEN THE CHURCH ENDS.” And so is the case.
Jay is not the problem. You keep talking about the spiritual side to all of this, and that’s fine. But the spiritual/demonic undertones that have you vexed are actually the least of our troubles. The ruling class and the secret societies that they are apart of are the reason the schools are in trouble, hospitals are closing, and for the gentrification of lower income communities to the benefit of the rich. Not Jay-Z. He is a very benevolent person. Only World Vision is ahead of him in global clean water efforts. Not to mention the countless other things he does to effectuate positive change in the GLOBAL community that don’t mean some tax sheltering or write-offs, either.
Last thing, all this business about wether someone is blind or not is only relevant if you can point examples of deception that have led us to experience harm or suffering. What harm has been perpetrated?

Lastly what these occult symbols mean and how they can influence the subconscious mind is well documented . If I influence you on a subliminal level what would the proof be ?
