I can’t say I’m a massive fan of Kanye West, but his exclusion in this is ridiculous. It just lets the plastics of the music industry (in all honesty, Kanye West was heading down this direction too) win.
At a night where that country girl will undoubtedly and undeservedly clean up the awards, Kanye West will be excluded from something he played an important part in, and I’m not talking just his performance, but the awards he was nominated for and undeservedly excluded from.
Predictably Eminem will blow Drake and Lil Wayne to smithereens with this performance, because he’s a real MC and performer, the other two are just artists.
And someone really has to come out and say it – Lil Wayne and Drake really don’t deserve to be up there on stage with Eminem on ‘the biggest night in music’. Eminem has performed with 2 artists @ the Grammy’s; Elton John who is a big name in music and has paid his dues and The Roots who have done more for Hip Hop than 99% of the rappers out there. Now Drake and Lil Wayne are set to join Eminem? Shame. It would be like Bow Wow presenting an award with Spike Lee at the Oscars or Monique presenting an award with Sidney Poeiter, although they might be in the same industry, they are leagues apart.
