Director Nabil Elderkin On Kanye’s “Coldest Winter” Video

Although there isn’t an official date for the actual release this week, director Nabil Elderkin tells MTV that creating the video for the 808s & Heartbreak track was the most challenging. He also mentions that unlike most of his previous clips, Ye was not part of the editing, but approved the final version which will contain a revamped sound.

“This is definitely more of a haunting one,” he said of the number. ” ‘Cause this is sort of a remix. I don’t think anyone has heard this version of the song. He did some really amazing sound work to this one. This one he got into his production a little bit more.”
