    singles or digital sales ?

  • ayooooo

That goes to show, you dumb it down, you sell records. How many Justin Bieber fans bought that single? Fuckin’ faggot sell-out. Ludacris isn’t even top 50, and he’s sellin’ records. How many hip-hop fans bought that single? Only white people buy shit now, that’s why hip-hop is falling off, we don’t support real shit.

  • http://rapradar.com MAY THE LORD STRIKE WACK RAPPERS WITH LIGHTNING

    @ Ludacris

GO FUCK WITH THE PUSSY ASS WHITE BOY JUSTIN BIEBER ON HIS NEXT SINGLE. TWO WORDS: SELL OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!

    KILLUMINATI

  • Uh-oh

@ayooooo You’re an idiot and a part time hip hop fan. You’re going to focus on this one single after his last 2 albums (Release Therapy and Theater of the Mind) were focused efforts with more serious content than earlier in his career. Stop it, you look silly.

  • Breezy

    ^ grow up

When a hip-hop artist like Luda has already proven himself. I dont think he has to make every album “real hip-hip/street music”. Its called being well rounded. Luda knows how to make real lyrical hood music and also knows how to make a pop song. Let the man be

  • Uh-oh

    Co-sign @mike and David Gomez.

@Uh-oh, I been listening to hip-hop before you were born, homeboy. Luda is a talented dude, but if that single sold over a million copies, then the majority of the buyers were white. The only way you can sell that many copies is if you appeal to white people. You make street shit for real niggas, and no one buys that shit. Cuz we’re too ghetto. Hip-hop heads show love, but they don’t show money to buy records, fact.
I salute the nigga for getting money, but he ain’t getting no respect for records like that.
When a nigga does a record with Justin Bieber, he sold out, plain and simple. For Luda to think he’s top 5, all i gotta say is Negro Please.

  • Uh-oh

@ayooooo U dont even know how old I am grandpa. Again, your Alzheimers kicked in. You’re ignoring all the other “street” shit Luda has done. Dont act like he is a lost cause, he even has “Ludaversal” in the works which will be a well rounded album.

People with mentalities like yours dont get far in life cause you think everything has to stay street. I guarantee your geriatric ass that this platinum selling single gets the hood rats in the clubs dancing, STFU.

  • Just Visiting

@ayooooo.- So Rappers shouldn’t make party songs anymore or their considered sell outs? That’s what MCing was based off of to begin with…Getting the party going. “How Low” sales also benefited from the fact that was a hype/fun song for women, not just white people. Women aren’t necessarily going to go spend their 1.99 on iTunes to buy a “street” or “hood” song, but they will for something to make them dance.

Furthermore. Jay-Z did songs w/Linkin Park. Did he sell out? Members of Wutang are making guest appearances in Disney movies. Did they sell out? Skills are skills, but diversifying your portfolio is good business.

@ Ayooooo I agree with what you are saying with the “real hip hop fans don’t pay for shit” comments, but the sell out comments are ridiculous, hip hop artist are notorious for crossing over with other artist to gain exposure, and the most talented ones do it sucessfully.

and im co-signing “Just Visting”‘s whole post.

Illmatic went platinum… (around 2000 I think…) but we all know thats just bubble gum sellout music… right?

I’ll admit I don’t like Luda’s new direction but as many of the other comments have said, he’s proved himself time and time again (Back For The First Time, Word of Mouf, Chicken-N-Beer, The Red Light District…) < all great albums; at this point in his career he should be able to go in whatever direction he wants.

  • Hip Hop Orangutang

this mike dude is crazy. fuck off with all that ridiculous “street typing”. you just look like a lil’ white girl…or as you would type it “gurl”.
