Prince returned to his hometown of Minneapolis and gave local radio station, 89.3 The Current, the green light to premiere his new song. It’s a radio rip, but you get the gist of it.

I’M A TOO THE CORE PRINCE ROGERS NELSON STAN, BUT I CAN’T LIE….I’VE HAVEN’T BEEN INTERESTED IN THE ANY NEW MUSIC. I TRULY MISSED THE WRITING COLLABO WITH WENDY & LISA…THEY PRODUCED SO MANY CLASSIC HITS!!! SINCE DIAMONDS AND PEARLS…ITS BEEN HIT OR MISS WITH ALOT OF THE MUSIC. MR NELSON IS A MUSICAL GENIUS, BUT IT SEEMED LIKE HE WAS LOST ON THE KIND OF DIRECTION HE WANTED TO TAKE OR JUST LIKE F*CK IT…I’LL JUST DO WHATEVER
BUT THIS SONG RIGHT HERE GIVES ME HOPE AGAIN…I DO NEED HIS LITTLE ASS TO GO BACK ON TOUR THOUGH…HAVEN’T SEEN HIM SINCE 2003-04 I BELIEVE.
HOPE HE DOESN’T SNATCH THIS TRACK OFF THE INTERNET…YOU PRINCE FUNNY ABOUT HIS MUSIC BEING PUBLICIZED WITHOUT HIS PERMISSON 🙂
He is the greatest musician of all time! This sounds like some vintage Prince. Hope the whole album sounds good like this.
This shit is garbage. Just because Prince was great at one time doesn’t mean everything he makes is good. Shit, even Michael Jackson made “Blood on the Dance floor”
Prince is still a top tier musician obviously, but his songwriting fell off YEARS ago. In his prime ten years 79-88, this filth wouldnt make a bside…when he is described as a genius I wholeheartedly agree, but one of the reasons he fell off besides his insistence on putting his religious views in his lyrics is his belief that he could rap…when he can’t. I’ve heard him do blues, reggae, rock, rnb, jazz…but attempts at hiphop, besides brief flashes here and there, have been mediocre at best….and this is coming from a fan.
