In a game dominated by males, Luda tells MTV that he hopes Battle Of The Sexes helps more female MCs be heard. Initially, the album was a joint collaboration with Luda and former DTP artist, Shawnna. But once she split, Luda still kept the concept. Ah well, guess you gotta learn to live with regrets. Right, Dram?

TO SUM IT IN A NUTSHELL LUDA’S ALBUM IS FOR THE CHICKS.
We need more prominent female voices in hip-hop. I’m looking forward to the album to see how this concept pans out.

It’s a good look. From the labels to the blogs, (and the blog I write for is guilty of it too – no disrespect to the bosses if y’all see this) the female perspective has been really missed in the game.
And to be real, gotta blame these homos who controlin’ the game right now. I give a side eye every time I see some of these blogsites say really disrespectful things about some of the chicks in the game who’re trying to come up. It’s real suspect when the criticisms don’t have anything to do with the music too… #imjustsaying
