For over a year, Drake’s petitioned for Sade to appear on his debut album, Thank Me Later. By now, you’d think that someone from his camp would’ve reach out to the singer, right? Wrong. In this interview with the National Post, Sade says she hasn’t even been contacted and purposely strays from collaborations.

I don’t think they have contacted me. I’ve never collaborated because I’ve always avoided working outside my safety zone — I can be exactly who I am and can fail or success within the moment.
