Jay-Z & Trey Songz White House Pics

“Come with me to the White House, get cha suit up…”

This almost looks like a reenactment of this 2005 XXL cover. Here are two photographs from Jigga and Trigga‘s visit to casa blanca yesterday morning. Hov even brought his first lady along for the trip.

Props: Llindyrr

  25. BAPHOMET says:

@VEGA YOUR FAVORITE RAPPER IS UNDER FEDERAL INVESTIGATION YOU BETTER WATCH HIS BACK THIS IS JUST THE BEGINING

Jay-Z Caught Up In Federal Investigation Over Casino Venture

New York Governor DAVID PATERSON has denied rumours his friendship with JAY-Z influenced him to approve a new race track and casino venture.

Bosses at event promotion company Aqueduct Entertainment Group (AEG) landed a lucrative multi-million dollar contract from New York state officials in January (10) to upgrade the existing Aqueduct Race Track venue and turn it into a top race track and gaming site – known as a racino – the only legal gambling place in the city.

But the ethics surrounding Paterson’s choice of contractor has been called into question after it was revealed Jay-Z holds a seven per cent stake in AEG via his firm Gain Global Investments Network LLC.

The rap superstar established a friendship with Paterson after they teamed up to stage his star-studded 9/11 benefit concert at the Big Apple’s Madison Square Garden last September (09).

Jay-Z signed a deal with AEG executives later that month – but the agreement has prompted a federal investigation into whether Paterson showed unfair favour to AEG’s contract bid as a result of the star’s involvement in the company.

AEG spokesman Jonathan Rosen has dismissed the accusations, insisting the hip-hop mogul’s widespread appeal prompted them to court the star.

Rosen tells the New York Post, “Given (Jay-Z’s) superstardom and his long and deep connection to New York, the partners thought he could bring a unique perspective to shaping a facility that would truly be an entertainment destination.

“The partners were looking to bring in someone who could bring marketing and community advice to the team.”

A spokeswoman for Paterson has also denied the rap connection played a role in the Governor’s decision.

She says, “There is absolutely no relationship between Governor Paterson’s friendship with Jay-Z and the choice of AEG.”

im going to try to keep this short…this picture like all others, is worth a millon words. most importantly The President is not in the shot. its also important to note that we dont know if they’re in the big house or not. if, in fact they are…good for them. on another note…what else does this photo symbolize? if i havent learned anythimg from this whole ‘jayhova’ ordeal is that EVERYTHING he dose publicly holds type of extra meaning. in this case i think its simple. he is sending a very clear message to the rap/hip hop world as a whole. TI is out. Weezy F. Baby going in. finally 50 baby moma house burning is catching up to him. he trying to leave his mark because the rap is about to make a quick shift. the south is here. dont sleep on it. also, as a person that jams Trey Songz…i 100% dont understand why he is there? jay only fcuking with him because he hot right now & to take a shot at Chris Brown. man, im tired of typing. i could go all day. one last thing i forgot to mention…its a guy from Canda about to drop also. his name is Drake.

I’ll bet Fox News will love this picture.

This is the white house with a V10 engine on 5th gear. Great to have someone such as Hov there. Did they perform?

  89. Rachel says:

These photos are as disrespectful of the office of President as the notorious Olympic snowboarder posing with a woman biting the medal and his crotch. Too bad we can’t ask Obama to leave the “olympic village” . Is Obama crazy?!!!!! I have been trying for over a year to present an automated medical management software that would unify hospitals, physicians, clinics, insurance co, Medicare/Medical and decrease billions of dollars of waste in our current system… but no… he would rather have beyonce and jayzee mugging it up in the white house.
    I am truly disgusted.

  90. Betty Guess says:

Don’t be a hater. This is the People’s house.

  91. MikeB says:

This picture for Jay Z’s personal scrap book I have no problem with for commercialization of the private sector enterprise that is Jay Z & Beyoncee’ hell yes…… There are some tables you have to be elected to sit and be photographed at for public consumption…….. That is one of them.
    .
Obama and his team have no clue regarding protocol, as evidence by these photos being released. His infatuation with celebrity and dissconnect from reality should be a concern. It should raise a flag. What stunt will be next??? I don’t care if the President is gay, black, purple, democrat, or republican or whatever……… There are certain protocols a president must adhere to, so he can be taken seriously by the people he was elected to lead, and on the world stage. This is just another “bow”.

When will he and his administration learn (I certainly hope with all that is going on in the world today, that Obama did not personally authorize this). People need to see this president differently now then when he was running for office. Take off the blinders, and get “hip” to the shell game going on. “Playa” has a new meaning in D.C. and if you don’t understand that, then your the one getting “played”.

  92. hbphipps says:

  95. ced S says:

how does it feel to make cnn?

  96. Les says:

Are you guys serious? Rachel, do you see the president in that picture? I sure don’t. So what makes you think that he stopped doing his work during their tour? Do we even know that he was at The White House during their tour? There are tours everyday at the White House, there have been for decades, but since you aren’t too happy that your guy lost, I’m sure the President Obama can do no right in your eyes.
MikeB, did this picture come with the security code to enter that room? What protocol has been breached? It’s a room with chairs. No secret documents laying around, no red button to be pushed.
Some people seem so senseless due to extreme bitterness.

  97. Frank Sparce says:

They better enjoy it while it lasts, obama won’t be voted back in. Failure. Lame duck. He’ll be back on gov cheese in no time.

  98. JB says:

It’s called the Siutation Room people, and when the President is not in it surrounded by members of the NSA it just another conference room. It’s not like he gave Jigga the code or keys to get back in whenever he wants. The White House gives tours almost every day, sure not everyone gets the grand tour, but it’s at the discretion of the White House and I have no problem with that. President Bush invited 270 guests to stay in the Lincoln Bedroom in his first term. You think Steven Spielberg, who was amongst them, didn’t see any and everything that he wanted? He just didn’t show his pictures, if he took any, around. But that’s more a comment on the subject of the photos and less on the President of the United States. There’s no disrespect here.

  99. JB says:

Oh, and another thing. Why is it that the internet has become such a haven for closet racists like Frank Sparce?

  100. Rhonda says:

Is there a crime being commited here. The group went a tour that anyone can go on. If you don’t like like it that’s your problem. By the way President Obama didn’t mess up health care Rach it has been this way for a while. This is coming from a nurse. So you should rally the people in your neck of the woods to get health care reform passed.

  101. Frank Sparce says:

Steven Spielberg never shot his brother for stealing from him, or never sold crack cocaine, So there is quite a difference to have a contributing member of society in your house as a guest compared to inviting a drug dealing street punk who shoots his family members.

  102. Les says:

    @ Frank Sparce:
Cheney was allowed in the White House after shooting someone in the face. Will I find any comments written by you against that? Something tells me that your opposition to these matters is quite selective.

  103. Frank Sparce says:

I don’t think a hunting accident can truly be compared to domestic abuse, lol. You see hunting accidents on the news, you see domestic abuse / shootings on C.O.P.S.

  104. MikeB says:

Hey Les: Protocol need not be written for it to be ininherently understood. Now maybe my sensibilities are different than yours, and that is fine, but when it comes to the office of the President of the United States of America, their can be no missunderstanding.

That chair and that room are symbols of power of the American way of life and what this country stands for…….. They are symbols that should not be for sale, and should not be open to interpertation such as have here…… Some aspects of the POTUS life/responsibilities need to have NO room for interpertation. A place where mission critical decisions that potentially effect millions of people anywhere in the world should not be treated like a carnival ride for people with “access”.

Lastly these symbols should not be available to be used as a marketing instrument for a private citizen regardless of if he is a rapper, an oil tycoon, or a ditch digger. If this is acceptable, then will appear to other threatening powers in the world that the eyes of democracy are not on the ball. There is already that question being asked behind the scenes all over the world, why provide more proof just to satisfy the ego of some recording artists?

Or is it that by associating with Jay Be that the campaign for inexperienced short sighted vote for 2012 is once again the priority like it was in 2008.

  105. JB says:

Quite a difference between Sean Carter and Steven Speilberg, yes. One was born in Ohio to a electrical engineer and a concert pianist, the other to a lower income single parent home in Brooklyn. I, however, am more impressed with their similarites. They both are multi-million dollar earning entertainers who have developed philantropic streaks.

  106. Pac4ever says:

In the immortal words of the great Makaveli….”aint no nigga like me fuck Jay-Z”.

  107. I don’t remember hearing any complaints when that fat, drug addict, pedophile Elvis Presley got his picture taken with the president. This all comes down to racism. Some people (Rachel) will never be able to accept that a black man is now the boss. If you are so disgusted by Jay Z being in the white house then why don’t YOU run for president? Then (if you are elected) you can invite all your little yenta friends over for tea parties whenever you want and there won’t be any of those pesky inner city (black) people around. Jay Z pulled himself up from the gutter to get where he is today against all odds so why can’t you? A black man is President now shut up and take it. No matter how much people try to act like they don’t care about color and try to pertend that race has nothing to do with it. Trust me, as a white guy I have seen so much racism in my life that it is amazing we all aren’t like that. It is practically a heretitary genetic defect. No white president was ever treated like this.

  108. Joe says:

This more a comment on Jay Z being an idiot for allowing the publishing of this picture, and the tour staff for allowing him to sit in that chair vs. Obama allowing him to take the tour… I don’t care who it is, Jay-Z, Donald Trump, Jimmy Buffet, Ice-T, Eminem, Kid Rock, Snoop, etc., that chair is represenative of the office of the President – regardless if they are black, white, blue, or green, and sitting in that chair taking that picture is disrespectful, period. It is hilrious to me how some African Americans have to turn everything into a discussion about race. This has nothing to do with race and everything to do with class and respect for the office – regardless of color or gender.

  109. What says:

Man, get your ass out of that seat, yo azz did not even finish high school, dumb bitch

  110. JB says:

    Dearest Joe,

I’m the African American you spoke of in your last post who you have accused of turning this into a discussion on race (and ironically, I do consider myself hilarious). I did so in response to the post by Frank Sparce which intimated that after President Obama has left the White House he will be accepting welfare subsidies and eating goverment cheese. What’s hilarious about this though is while Frank is sitting somewhere dreaming of a better life for himself, our black President Obama is currenty the most powerful man in the world and is CURRENTLY eating goverment cheese. It just happens to be the finest of bries and it’s served from the galley of the White House by a professional chef.

And to you Joe, why is it that you think you are better qualified to judge what’s disrespectful of the institution of the Presidency than the current sitting President? Tell me a little bit about your qualifications (I hope it’s not having watched all seven seaons of The West Wing) and maybe I’ll change my mind.

  117. MikeB says:

With regards to race….. There were, I’m guessing many people who voted for Obama purely and only because he is considered a person of color. Just as there were people who did not vote for him for the same reason.

If you fall in either category, you are ignorant. Issues/platform (would like to include integrity here, but we are talking about a politician) are what matter when voting. Not skin color.

  118. Tony says:

….THIS IS HIGHYLY INAPPROPRIATE IF THIS GUY, WHAT’S HIS NAME JAY…SOMETHING TO SIT IN THE PRESIDENT’S CHAIR ON A TOUR. I PERSONALLY THINK.

IF THE WHITEHOUSE PROTOCOL OFFICER DID ALLOW THIS, IT IS THE TEAM THAT NEEDS BEEN BLAMED. IT JUST BRINGS DISRESPECT TO THE OFFICE. PERIOD!

  119. AB says:

Jay-Z was instrumental in President Obama’s historic campaign in 2008 so I understand “special access” and see nothing wrong with him touring the White House and sitting in a “conference room chair”. Heaven for bid Jay-Z had to use the “presidential toilet”. Releasing the picture simply adds fuel to the nationwide fire of bigotry that has been going on since the inauguration. As far as Frank Sparce is concerned, he is probably an uneducated kid that barely graduated from high school and probably had many grilled cheese sandwiches made with government cheese as a kid. Probably comes from a broken home and doesn’t know who his father is. You know the Jerry Springer type. Don’t get too caught up in the lyrics Frank. Do you know what having your cap peeled means?

  120. concern says:

I believe that the white staff should have remove the seal from this photo. I agree that the office sholud be respected because it does symbolize power.

  121. NavyMan says:

Any person who has served in the military knows that the Captain’s chair is occupied by the Captain, no one else unless offered by the Captain directly. As far as I’m concerned, this courtesy absolutely extends to the President, and everyone should know to honor this tradition. I feel that the average, respectful citizen knows this and to me shows a significant lack of regard on Jay-Z’s part. And for those of you that feel military tradition doesn’t apply to the Office of the President, don’t forget that he’s the Commander in Chief of the United States Armed Forces.

  122. concern says:

Sorry for the typo. I believe the white house staff should have remove the seal from this photo. I agree that the office of the president of the united states should be respected. Because it does symbolize power to the world.

  123. JB says:

But NavyMan c’mon. I understand everything you’ve said, but it’s not as if this was the Oval Office or something. It’s the Situation Room, look at the chairs in the picture they are all the same. Traditionally, the President sits at the head of he table underneath the seal, but I’d be willing to bet that someone else has sat in that chair before. If this improptu pose was such an affront to this tradition that “the average, respectful citizen” is aware of, why didn’t the staffers giving this tour shout bloody murder when someone attempted to sit in the President’s hallowed chair?

Is anyone else out there okay with a President who seems more human than institution? Which is not to say that he expressly authorized the picture to be taken and released. Everyone here seems so respectful of the office of the President (which is cool, don’t get me wrong), I just wish they would offer the same respect for the man who was chosen by the people to occupy that office.

  124. another says:

Do you really think Jay-Z was in that seat without the captains approval. Come on they are not that disrespctful and even if they were they are in the White House, they can’t just enter the room, take photos or even sit there without an OK. Please. My guess is that the President was there and smart enough not to be in this photo.

  125. MikeB says:

One thing to hand the picture on your wall at home JB for personal enjoyment………. Its another entirely to release it to the press for whatever Jay-Be self promotional purpose it was released for. Any purpose at all is innapropriate. This is the point that so many cavalier folks here miss.

There are certain things that are just inherently understood to be wrong. This is one of those things. There are no better examples than what NavyMan offered, but if a persons value system is so self indulgent, self centered and hollow then I guess that person would have no issue here. I have family who have fought for this country and all that it stands for. It should be respected by everyone, regardless of a persons wealth or access to the highest authority of the land.

Does everything have to be explained to this level of granularity? No wonder why our country is so messed. Stand for something besides ones own self interest for a change.

The President/any President is not going to change your individual lives, so quit jumping on the bandwagon thinking this is the new reality. This is exactly where people in power want you…….. Chasing them around with your hand out for a crumb…..

And to all those who “can’t stand” our president – what can we do about it? Vote Republican? C’mon, be serious, vote Republican?

  131. MikeB says:

So we should just let fame blind us to the inappropriate then huh Marilyn? Sad……. Btw… How do you define fine people, and why does that matter? The friggin Pope should not self promote sitting in that chair in that room……. Never mind someone who sold drugs….. Get it now?

  132. JB says:

Not to be used for promotional purposes, you say? In a way I agree, I wouldn’t necessarily approve of this being Jay’s next album cover, but what about the legions of championship sports teams that have been invited to the White House under each sitting President for adminstrations past? You don’t think some of those shots end up in their media guides the following season? It’s an honor to be personally invited to the White House, what goes on there is up to the President of the United States to allow, not any random racist with an internet connection. (Not directed at you MikeB, your arguements have been well thoughout, concise, and heartfelt).

This slightly reminds me of the time that some of the players from the Women’s Lacrosse team from Northeastern University were critized for wearing flip-flops to the White House. We talked about that for a whole news cycle as well. Are you kidding me with crap like that? The Dalai Lama was at the WH last month and I bet he wasn’t wearing wingtips.

It’s really not that serious people; and MikeB you haven’t conviced me otherwise.

  133. Marilyn Mercado says:

CREATE SOME DAMN JOBS.

  136. MikeB says:

JB – I appreciate your discourse as well. This will be my last post as I have to run, but my objection is where the photo’s were taken……. and the seat occupied, and that the photo’s were made public. To my knowledge nobody other than the President is supposed to be photographed in the presidents chair. I may be wrong, but if I am not, what does that say about preservation of proper historical precidence. (Hopefully some experts on Whitehouse Protocol will join the discussion here).

My understanding, is that the situation room is
1.By extension, an alternative West Wing.
2.Because of #1, that specific chair is a symbol of American power, where as photo’s should not be permitted ( I am sure there are others, but not released to the media for a self promotion stunt… The omnipitant aura of Jay-Be and all that they think is their kingdom)

Regarding photosof sports teams on the Whitehouse lawn… These are something of a much less serious nature, and to my mind, cannot be compared (nor can the Lincoln Bedroom reference).

Some things we need to be serious about JB. Others are trivial playa hating messes. Not this. This is a serious lack of respect for the POTUS and the office itself.

Have a good rest of your Saturday.

Some things are just to important to be trivialized

  137. America says:

Let me tell ya, I wasn’t going to post anything until I read this last post. As a person of color who wasn’t even born in this great country of ours, I ask what is this country coming to? But again, I saw it coming. I believe what the country is becoming has its positive side, i.e., Obama becoming President. However, I don’t see how this idolization of hip pop does not bring the country to its knees in the near future. Obviously these kinds happenings will probably push the middle of America to the side of the evil racists. Who are we kidding here? Because the country is great, anyone has the potential of making it. All it takes sometimes is a little luck and some effort. But we have to very conscious of what represents true backbone of the country’s greatness. Ask yourself this question: could hip pop make America the great country that it is? Yes, it is a product of how great the country is.

I am not a racist but come on……I am sick of African americans abusing their sudden hold in power to put down other races…notice on TV how they always put down other races such as asians….notice also how whenever there is an interracial couple it is always an african american MAN with a white whore…..I am sick of african american males who think that they are cool and jiggy or whatever the have in that damn ebonic language…I know I am being a bit racist, but how can you not??? As far as the race issue, its true that african american men seem to think that somehow they can portray this image that they are better, cooler, and stronger and more hip then the rest of the races…when was the last time you saw a mexican being portrayed as cool or hip AND part of society ( not some gangster or thief). When was the last time you saw an asian being portrayed as cool or hip not a genious math crunching nerd…when was the last time you saw a white dude who was portrayed as cool or hip…see mariah careys video of the geek who fixes her computer……bottom line is that I am sick of african american guys who think that they are the only ones to act cool…so go to hell Jay z, you will never occupy that chair…another african american man does..one who deserves it

  154. Kirk C says:

daniel, when i hear “decency”, i think thought police and all the fascism that comes with it; the inability to accept that people are free to think and express what they want as guaranteed under the first amendment. in your sphere, who decides what is “decent”? and are the adults in your world that in need of protection from adult content?

btw, would you feel the same way if a world famous director of incredibly graphic violent movies posed for the same pictures (i.e. james cameron)? or how about an author that regularly delves into sexual deviancy, psychotic behavior, and foul language (stephen king)?

also, i like your two examples of lyrics there. clearly you haven’t heard the all the lyrics to all the songs for each of the artists i’ve mentioned (willie nelson, tony bennett, neil diamond, josh groban, taylor swift, or toby keith) and jay-z’s. one data point means nothing to me.

you’re also incapable of looking outside the box in which you exist to appreciate that not all people come from the same background and socioeconomic conditions. you’re also incapable of appreciating that all these artists (jay-z and the musicians, movie directors, fiction authors) are also playing different games with different rules in which different strategies have to be employed to succeed.

on a side note, i understand that you have different taste, and that is perfectly fine. but also take the time to understand what these artists do and have become as a result of their current fame and station in our society. do you even know how involved with the UN’s clean water program jay-z is? like many other stars, he has risen from his humble beginnings, achieved success, and chosen to become a responsible citizen of this nation and the world.

but back to my bottom line, you sound like an adult, and if we’re truly all adults here, can’t you understand that there are adult artists who put out adult songs with adult content? it’s the same thing as any form of popular media. are we encouraged to act as indecent as some of the characters we watch on screen or read in books? of course not. why should music be held to some arbitrarily higher standard? this whole thought police BS freaks me out even more because you and your ilk hide behind the guise of patriotism or “the american way” for your intolerance of the first amendment.

the fact that jay-z is an adult musician who makes adult albums with adult songs containing adult content intended for adult audiences shouldn’t be held against him any more than any other artist out there.

if it’s not racism, you’re discriminating against the “parental advisory: explicit lyrics” sticker. either way, it’s messed up.

  155. Kirk C says:

    jigga,

get your facts straight, you ignorant punk. first off, it’s spelled “kobe”. second, he use racism to beat the rape case against him. in fact he didn’t win because he fought the case, but more that the case fell apart. the overzealous DA looking to get re-elected withheld crucial defense evidence, which in case you don’t know anything about the law, is illegal to do.

btw, what evidence was this that he withheld? first off the “victim” changed her story with each iteration. second, the dna testing of her and her clothing came back with the viable sperm of at least THREE men. it’s the same BS that got tyson in trouble. i’m not here to defend either kobe or tyson, but if you’re rich and famous, you better be really smart because there are plenty of wacked out psycho women out there who will target you.

btw, i’m not weighing in on his guilt or innocence, but just ask ben roethlisberger.

  156. Kirk C says:

    jigga,

btw, the DA then got reprimanded by the CO state bar and he lost his re-election. bottom line, he was a shitty attorney bringing a BS trumped up case against a famous person in hopes of getting re-elected and he got burned by the judge, the opposing counsel, the media, and the people of CO.

justice prevailed. btw, learn the law. it would make you sound much less idiotic.

  157. LeoB says:

It is quite disgusting to see the comments that are on here regarding this picture. The White House is open for all Americans to request the opportunity to visit. Additionally, all visitors are pre-screened prior to being granted permission. Therefore, you all need to chill and back off President Obama. I just think that the fear that was planted in the hearts of white people by their parents against black people is evident by these comments. Bush and his cronies raped this country for the past 8 years and you all do not seem to have a problem with that.

Now, like it or not Mr. Obama is the President and as such you all just need to shut the hell up and wait to hit the polls in 2012. It is quite evident that he will never be able to satisfy you suckers. Now, face the facts he is the first of many more BLACK, HISPANIC OR ASIAN Presidents to come. White people your age of being the dominant voice is over so shut the F%*k up deal with it.

For reelection, all Obama needs is 30% of the whites to win. 3 out of 10. You hide behind your your emails and say what you really feel. Your president, George Bush, destroyed this country and now you want to blame Obama for trying to save the U.S. -Under George Bush- 4,000 soldiers killed, 10,000 injured , 40,000 Iraqis killed (some where children) -ran of debt to 1 trillion. If you came out and said, you hate blacks and you are a card carrying member of the KKK, then you will get my respect.

Anyone who was given the same access would of wanted to do the same. It has nothing to do with race, they’re just people plain and simple.

George Bush, as president, was one of the biggest thugs/bullies that ever paced the white house floor. How about Ronald Reagan- Thug! I could continue but it’s redundant and just because you have a high profile position and you steal and kill and rob people don’t make you any better than a hip hop artist who writes a song. I’m tired of people like you jigga that can’t stand to see black people making it. So what if you voted for Obama! Get a life and stop worrying about what african-americans or any other race for that matter is doing and check yo self. LOSER! Don’t hate, Congratulate!! Besides, God don’t like ugly!! Oh and by the way, I am a young AFRICAN AMERICAN MAN! Just so you’re not confused.

  165. MikeB says:

I have no problem with Jay-Be or anyone else touring the White House, or the situation room as long as they understand what is “appropriate”. Do I like that he sold drugs at one time? Writes lyrics that objectify women and glorify for personal profit a lifestyle without morals? No. Do I think he takes some of his “profit” and does some good things with it? Yes. Which does more of his wealth go to though….Self promotion or Philantropy? Don’t know but I can guess.

There are some things out their that adults should understand, that are “off limits and innappropriate” without being told…… The fact that many here, equate these things are based on race shows how confused the hip-hop generation is.

Absolutely there are ceilings and barriers regarding race relations that still need to be broken. Absolutely Black America has as much racism within its subculture as White America. Lets not go down the road of why….. Its there. This should have nothing to do with a level of personal conduct in the White House……… The WhiteHouse is not a shopping Mall or a Luxury Hotel.

It is hallowed ground for our country. Respect and deference to the office of President (by extension where the president sits) must be shown at all times. Self promotional opportunities must be secondary (they obvioulsy were not here).

Again, the fact that many here want to trivilize the significance of this unwritten rule shows a lack of understanding of historical precident. This is not a “glass ceiling” issue. This is a right and wrong thing. Jay-Be and all who support his conduct here, are WRONG. I would say this if the Pope, Steven Speilberg, Donald Trump, Bill Gates or the Dali Lamma sat in that seat….. Its not for everyone… You have to work for and be elected to sit in that seat…. You have to earn it.

Ya don’t see anyone sitting in the King or Queens throne other than the King or Queen in any nation that has a King or Queen do ya? Would you think its ok if someone did? If you do think its ok, you have some serious respect issues that effect your decision making process, and probably how you are perceived by others. It may not matter to you, but it will impact your life opportunities, like it or not.

I did not vote for Obama. Not because of color, but because I dissagree with the direction he wanted to take our country when it came time to vote. Regardless, he is my President and though I disagree with him most of the time, he and the office he was elected to needs to be respected by me and every citizen of this country. Some things are NOT for everyone.

  166. Tom Brendza says:

Sorry, but the room that Jay-Z is photographed in is NOT the Situation Room in the basement of the West Wing of the White House. Absolutely not. It may be another conference room in the White House, but it is NOT the Situation Room.

  169. Confused says:

    @ Tom Branza

Um, CNN confirmed from White House aides that the tour included the Situation Room. I am an Obama fan, but I could see someone quickly snapping a photo and sending it within seconds. I do not know if I would hold Obama, or his administration, responsible, but this definitely shows tactlessness from Jay-Z, who I normally see as a influencial black leader.

What was he thinking taking this picture??

america no mo’…only in this twilight zone america we can have a convicted criminal who cannot (legally) vote for the president have the opportunity to sit in his chair. that’s why we can’t allow any more niggez to be president ever again and that includes the clintens.

    @Confused

Thanks for the update re: CNN. I should not have sounded so certain. I was convinced that it was not the Situation Room because it was supposed to be highly restricted access, but apparently that is not the case, since it appears that several other people have visited as well, and there are no security issues at stake. President Obama is the President and can have anyone he wants come and visit him in his home. Since there is no security issue, I have a hard time seeing what the uproar is about. I am not an Obama supporter, but I cannot find fault with the President over this. Jay-Z could be taken to task for taking liberties with President Obama’s furniture, and I am a little shocked that anyone but the President would sit in the President’s seat for a photo op, but I am guessing that the visit was supposed to be private, and those pics were not supposed to be published.

is it really that serious? It’s not like Obama was in the picture with a 40 of Colt 45, Or Mrs. Obama was getting her Sasha Fierce on!! Anybody can go to the White House and sit and take pictures…Does anyone here even know why Jay-Z was there? My god people have you nothing better to do? Folks will always have something negative to say about African Americans no matter what we do…A black man robs a liquor store…leads to all black people are thieves…When in fact White folks are the ORIGINAL THIEVES!!! Hell white folks stole PEOPLE!

For all of you who think it’s no big deal…how about you let a white child molester come live with your little sister…oh don’t worry he “turned his life around”.
yeah it’s cool they got their pics in that room and I would do it too if they let me, do you know why they don’t ? only 2 kinds of people qualify 1. those who really belong there such as the president and his trusted staff and 2. black fuking rapper who is admired by the presidents kids and his black security staff.
Are you all stupid? the “situation room” is not a public musium that you go in with a $5 ticket. Where is the respect? if we (as americans) treat this office as a “no big deal” then why the hell should any of our enemies give us respect? I can assure you that they are in fact laughing at us and you dumb ass comments.
Hey dumb ass “VENUS”…white people stole your people but your people have been slaughthering black dumb ass people like you for centuries in Africa and the U.S. over $$ , land and power….so don’t make it sound like you are all innocent nice folks…dumb asses are everyhere – just look at yourself!

  180. Hank Waters says:

You won’t see a picture of willie nelson or tony bennett or neil diamond or josh groban or taylor swift or toby keith or anyone else sitting in the situation room. Only obama could do something like that. Nobody gets access to the situation room like this except under this socialist administration it doesn’t matter since they’re working hard to destroy this country as we know it.

  181. STEVEN says:

rs, keep hating. The right wingers will nomatter what. No matter what black people do, these rs will never give us credit. Because they have denied us a level field to advance in many other fields, the ingenuity of our people came about with a new kind of art which has produced people like Jay Z. Now they are trashing it because they see many kids making it. They one who is of color who makes it. True there have been some who have misbehaved, but so are some of the right wingers, only that they are no as famous for their transgressions to be all over the media. When they had political power, look at what happened to the country. The economy completely collapsed. Obama was given the emptiest, broken economy than any president in history, and now they expect him to fix it in two years, what has taken them thirty years to break! These people are damn fools. The bad thing is they have managed to convince a sizable number of the ignorant portion of their race. It’s sad, because if these people were a little educated, they would see through all this crap… Man, that’s why they want to abolish the department of education, so they can keep even more white people in the dark.
But we wont allow them. Damn right wingers…”you are not the only ones that vote” we will always beat your vote, even if by one!

  182. CenterRight says:

I wonder did they all sleep in the Lincoln bedroom afterwards?
And dare I wonder how much they had to ‘pay’ to ‘play’?

    Slick Barry!

  183. Phoebe says:

    Absolutely ridiculous!!!!

  184. MikeB says:

Venus & uhLexus……. What does matter to you???? Anything?

In order to be taken seriously, one has to stand for something. Respect something, work and accomplish something. If everyone can sit in that chair for their own purposes, then what is the value of the office of President? (I ask this, because that is what leaders in other countries will ask about the presidency as they concoct schemes to take advantage of this country and citizens).

If you want to be trivial about trivial matters fine. No problem. The office of President needs to be respected. No matter if the occupant is black white brown or purple. And while the occupant of the office of President OTUS can pretty much do as they please, they must be careful (as well as those who speak/act on behalf of the President) of their actions because they have “ripple effects” seen and unseen. That is what happens when you are the occupant of the most powerful office in the world. Whoever allowed this picture to be made public has no clue about “ramifications” and i’m guessing neither do either of you…….

I am concerned about ramifications. If Jay -Be was concerned about ramifications for this country vs. his own self promotion, we would not be discussing this here. If people like Rahm Emanuel and David Axelrod really cared about America and had any sense of duty to the office of President (they service the office 1st the person 2nd….. or at least they are supposed too), they would never have let this see the light of day.

So quit with the black vs. white racism crap. It is way beyond that low level noise. Examples of a President, and an administration occupied with the abandonment of presidential protocol, are dangerous for this country, and are indicators to the world of presidential capabilities…… Or lack there of. Wake up Hip-Hop generation. it will be your world soon, if there is anything left the rate we are going.
