I just hope if I ever get knocked with 10 machine guns, I only get 12 months. (Shit it wasnt even 12 months..)

TIP you my dude (n/h) since Trap Muzik, but it’s clear you cooperating with the feds – taking the stands and testifying against those two brothers.

Shit, I just hope the music is dope, looking forward to Monday. Hopefully its some gutter shit, and no commerical joint.

  12. SkidaRoc says:

I feel ya Sha. I’ve been down since Im Serious when I was a freshmen in college and didn’t have the money to cop TI and Bubba Sparxxx. So I opted for Bubba. (Yea believe or not). TIP been commercial for so long I have checked out since the King album. This snitching is inexcusable though. It ain’t a good look at all.

  13. Lattimore says:

Hip Hop and Rap is based on the motto STOP SNITCHING so its going to be interesting to see how people are gonna react to him now. Im sure he’ll be forgiven but then again if the rapper was someone else like lets say Ja Rule or Drake his career in rap would be finished

  14. Cudder says:

Mac Diesel I always see you arguing with someone on these comments.
You’re the only one who thinks its cool to put a catchphrase at the end of his comments, so who’s the dummy?

  18. koa29 says:

the mainstream who made live your life/whatever you like/dead & gone a hit hardly know about TI’s sentence and his supposed “snitching”….sure internet blogs know all about it… but internet blogs also made a huge deal over Exhibit C…. just another nas-type lyrical song that wasn’t really groundbreaking at all

  19. diggsy says:

    @ SkidaRoc

Props for remembering that T.I. and Bubba Sparxxx”s debuts dropped the same day. But, like T.I. said himself “ain’t no such thing as a secret snitch”. Lots of $$$ and a creative legal team can make for unusual circumstances.

  20. SkidaRoc says:

What alot of people fail to realize is that TI was already a felon. I think like a six time felon (you can correct me on that) and he gets a skid bid like that? I hope the kids know, this doesn’t happen to people(black folks) unless you’re outright snitching or “cooperating.”. I knew he had this in him we I saw his episode of punk’d.

  21. D DOT C says:

A LOTTA OF YALL PROBABLY AINT EVEN HAD A TRAFFIC TICKET ON HERE TALKING LIKE YALL STREET SAVY. YES THERE WAS A DEFINITE CASE OF CO-OP BUT ASK YALL SELF WHAT CRIME WAS REALLY COMMITED……. WHERE WERE THE WEAPONS FOUND….. WHY WAS HE IN POSSESSION ON THESE WEAPONS.

NOW MAYBE HIS MOUTH BOUGHT HIM A CHECK HIS ASS COULDNT CASH, BUT SADLY HIS BEST FRIEND GOT KILLED. THEN THE GANGSTERS THREATENED AND INTIMIDATED HIM WITH CALLS “CAUSING HIM TO PURCHASE THESE WEAPONS”. HE WASNT IN DIRECT ROUTE TO ANY CRIME THOUGH THE WEAPONS WERE FOUND IN HIS HOME (FROM THE OUTSKIRTS OF THE CITY).

NOW YOU ARE A JUROR, HIS FAITH IS IN YOUR HAND. IN THE COURT RM ARE HIS CHILDREN, FAMILY AND POSSIBLY THAT OF A DECEASED FRIEND. WAT IS YOUR VERDICT??????

ANYWAY ITSFEW DAYS LEFT HIS BACK IN ACTION

  23. mother and grandmother says:

My son was recently sentenced to 7 years for gun possession. I don’t believe in guns and I don’t think anyone should have guns. My son was shot multiple times, over some drunken words in a club. He had multiple operations and was in the hospital for 4 months. He lost 100 pounds and many internal organs. When he came to consciousness two months later the police came to the hospital and talked to him like he was an animal because he would not “cooperate”. After he was discharged, he was at a clinic and someone walked by, asked him his name and attacked him in the clinic. This was not an excuse for a gun but it is a rationale. A car he was riding in was stopped and they found a gun under his seat. The state did not persue the case but the federal government did. They did so in my opinion to connect him to illegal activity of other people and to get him to “cooperate” in the prosecution of other people. Because he did not cooperate the prosecutor asked for 7 years and the judge followed his recommendation.

His lawyer was a public defender, which is not the issue, but this one seemed so nervous and intimidated by the process he really did not defend my son. Anybody who has actually been in a federal court will understand that it is not like the state. You know what time it is when the first thing they say is the “United States of America Against – (whoever the defendant is”. In the federal level the prosecutor for all practical purposes has more power than the judge. They decide who to charge, what to charge and often times their sentencing recommendation is followed. That is exactly what happened to my son.

We have as many black people in prison plantations than we had people on plantations during slavery. Rather than worrying about who is snitching and who is not , we need to recognize that this is slavery. We can turn on each other but the mess is getting bigger which means more jobs for police, more jobs for attorneys, bail bondsmen, probation officers, prison guards, corporations that build prisons, supply the food, the prison issue clothes and on and on. Meanwhile we don’t have anything. We need to stick together and figure out how to fight the injustice in the system.

The people who really get sentenced are the babies who have to grow up without their mothers or fathers. In the feds you go to a different state to do your time. All we can do now is figure out how to scrape money together to be able to get my grandchild to see her father as often as possible for the next seven years . She adores her father and he is a good father but 7 years is long time in the life of a child and it’s a cruel punishment. The system uses our babies as hostages when they ask for cooperation. They get away wih it because we are not paying attention to legislation that gives them the authority to do just about anything they want to do.

Lastly, know that the federal goverment is monitoring everything on the internet and they know exactly who every person is – this is how they are going to take away the right to free speech. They are also monitoring gps systems on people’s phones and e-mail subject lines. Check out Time magazine. Be careful about what you write, but don’t let them initimidate you from speaking your truth. They think they are in control, but God is in control.
