You know…Jimmy is the definition of a “piggyback” nigga. Since he hasnt had a hit since “Ballin”, any and every song that starts to bubble, he has to hop on and shoot a $20 vid for. #shameonanigga

  2. Interscope Employee says:

CO-SIGN “BRIX” !!!! JIMMY’S BUMMY ASS AINT HAD A HIT EVER SINCE MAX B GHOSTWROTE “BALLIN”

  3. KP says:

what you want? him to ball out a blow a load on a video that’s only gonna get love virally and ain’t even gonna be part of any album? This is part of the reason the industry is fucked up. When diddy was shooting shiny suit shit, you tight. cats doing low f trying to keep a buzz, you tight. you said it yourself! he ain’t had a hit, but yest you want him to send a grip on a video that either way, yo azz salivating to hate on…

youse a fuckin loser yo. for real. You just looking to find fault. He wack, let him be wack, bu if you gonna criticize, at least have a legit argument.

i fucks with ortiz so i see this as a good look for him… hell jim’s freestyles did help launch day n nite and i love college.

  5. Will says:

    LOL @Brix

@randmname gtfoh day n nite was a hit by itself he didnt need no Jim Jones and I love College them is both mainstream songs so Jim Jones didnt help them do shit they were just good mainstream songs I mean come on I Love college its thousands of colleges you know how many Incoming Freshman had that shit as they ringtone so it was eventually going to hit platinum im surprise it didnt do Flo Rida Type numbers saying Jim Jones help launch those is like saying 50 cent helped launch Boom Boom Pow when its like it was already a top 10 song before he jumped on it

I swear one thing about Jim is that this dude confidence and self esteem is way up there when he do these videos you seem to forget his last album did terrible numbers he was dropped from the label his Label and group did nothing and he keeps saying Dipset Reunion when it aint happening

I Mean where is the nigga that sound exactly Like Jay-Z at LOL

    DON’T HATE ON MY OPINION!!!!!

  7. BRIX says:

@KP : No, youngin’. What I’m saying is instead of Jim trying to capitalize off Banks’ success (?) with BB&B, go out and make HIS own buzz, ya dumb fuck!

  8. ghost says:

jim swag is gone n that nicca aint even lookin 4 it

  9. KP says:

@ BRIX – you funny style – you know that’ wasn’t what you was hitting at but its cool tho.

And I would hardly call the Banks version a success. If you know anything about the music industry, you know BDS and mediabase. This song is not hitting anywhere outside of NYC at a hard level. It only has regional success right now. And rightfully so that NY should bang it, support your hometown.

You talk about capitalizing like that’s not what hip hop is predicated on these days. You think those rappers actually BUY/DRINK that Nuvo in the video?

  10. BRIX says:

    @KP
I see now you obviously can’t read or pick up on inference of the written word, so here it is:
Jimmy had a hit (yes, a hit) with “Ballin”…since then, he has not dropped a record ON HIS OWN that could come anywhere near the success of that since! Remember him all over Ron Browz’ song (whatever it was called)? Jim actually paid Browz to use that as his (J.J.’s) song! Same thing with that other weird kid, DJ Whatdafuck. As someone else said above, he even hopped on Cudi’s and Asher Rother’s 1st singles because he knew they were dope!

What I’m saying is: Why jump on and shoot a viral vid for SOMEONE ELSE’S shit before you hit the studio to do your own thing?! Shit don’t make sense! So what if the song don’t make it out the Tri-State area, once it hits the ‘Net, its all over the place! Duh!

I will give you credit for saying he’s supporting another NY artist, which is cool and should have been done from day one…but, don’t do it now that you haven’t had a record on radio since what, ’07-’08?! (Damn. son) And yes, Hip Hop is all about capitalizing on something else, but damn sure not about another artists’ work/song that already features someone else! That’s the equivalent of taking the swoosh off a pair of Nike’s and placing a Fila sign there. SMH
