  2. young hov says:

Good to see that nigga still doin his thing. It’s the ROC!

  3. Carl Weston says:

LOL..he got them to refer to his clothing line C.E.O as new…lol

  4. DARKAQUA says:

I LIKE THE GROWN UP DAME DASH…SEEMS VERY HUMBLE NOW. I HOPE EVERYTHING HE TOUCHES TURNS TO GOLD AGAIN 😉

  5. Dayum says:

I’m happy for Dame..he has no bosses (unlike Jay – Live Nation anyone?). He and 50 Cent are very alike, willing to take risks and go it alone which is the sign of true entrepreneurism..they will be rewarded for their efforts.

  6. him says:

^^^You have a lot to learn about entrepreneurism. smh

  7. van says:

    Dame learned his lesson.

Less Sam Rostein more Meyer Lansky.

He’s been working on CEO for a long time that shit better be dope.

    Clap for him.

  8. Consignment says:

He played himself. Dame Dash used to treat people like shit. He was the type of dude that would belittle you while he was surrounded by bodyguards. It’s ill how he has to go back to the drawing board. Jay-Z got the last laugh-

  9. Dayum says:

    @him..

    en·tre·pre·neur (ntr-pr-nûr, -nr)
    n.
A person who organizes, operates, and assumes the risk for a business venture.

Notice the word risk..independent ventures which are high-risk but also contain he opportunity for large profits seemed to be what Dame is doing. He could easily fall flat on his face with the art gallary – especially with their being bigger more established galleries in urban NY but he could also sell one piece for x amount of millions and funnel the profits though to his other ventures.

  10. Dayum says:

@Consignment…so while Dame was being a asshole, what was Jay doing? Being Marcy’s equilvalent to Mother Theresa huh? smh

The dope artists signed to the Roc in its heyday (no offense to Bleek) were signed by Dame, given chances by Dame and coached by Dame. He did the legwork and even if his attitude was shitty at times, there would be no Roc-a-fella if it wasn’t for him.

  11. pissed says:

Dame was responsible for every early signee to the ROC minus Bleek. The Roc would have been nothing without him. When labels wernt trying to sign Jay he was the one who decided to put Reasonable Doubt out independently. Dame may have been cocky but he’s a smart dude. Can’t wait to see how his new projects work out.

  12. Real Talk says:

I fucks with Jay but i don’t want to see nobody fall Dame keep pushing my dude IE niggas some hating ass niggas

then dame dash sold his part of Rocawear to jay… dat was the baddest move by him

cuz jay took it for 30 millions… and few years later he sold it 210 millie to iconix brand…. DAMN!

  15. kingboola says:

dame is still a leader to look up to past and present

  16. GUARE says:

  20. BIG DOG says:

“Should’a stayed in Food & Beverage” LOL!!!

  21. james bond says:

Dame WILL NOT become a staple in the rap game anymore. His time is up, he’s treated people as if he was just God himself. People remember that and account that to your resume. Maybe he’ll become some label’s President or what not, but he will not have his shine like he used to, even if he do or don’t want that anymore, it’s not there. Honestly, from my view, he doesn’t look like life is peaches anymore, it’s more damn, life’s a bitch for me again. This always translates to the down-fall of a man. Take it for whatever you want…..

  24. YO says:

Curren$y is an idiot. No one in the music busi wants to do business with Dame.

  25. mike says:

dame does some entertainment/media/communication/internet/etc = creative control

does some music, still rap but mo underground more conceptual. finest/acclaim

= blakroc / black keys / rza / mos def …(and currensy too). blakroc 2 new album on the way

then the business of art, really special. to create a thing with rich people = GALLERY

HE DOES A REAL JOB TO CREATE A NEW CONCEPT A NEW MOVEMENT A NEW BUSINESS

the rest iz still secret, occult. he rich and enjoy his life. Roc A Fella is dead. Roc Nation lives

BUT blakroc breathes…smokes…breathes and whats to make it different

by force but also by ego. DAME DA$H

  26. united.artists says:

see, erbody ain’t beanie or whatever his name is.

  27. A lot of people in here talking as if they know/knew Dame. Fact is, he was only a dick or an asshole to those who were trying to screw him/his brand over. He opened a lot of doors for people. And yeah, that fame/success monster probably went to his head a little bit, but all that matters is that in the end, he recovered. He’s a human being.

Little boys hiding behind screen names, and gassed up on e-balls need to fall back.

  28. Smig says:

    yeah boyEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!

    Where the white women at!.,!.!?!?!?

    Nuffin from nuffin leave nuffin………..
