I used to like this song…I can see the entertainment in it….but last weekend here in New Orleans a Mother was found dead in the closet, with her son and daughter shot multiple times. The father came home and found his family dead in the house.
He said that he thought it was his own Nephew, and his nephew was arrested for the murder. The uncle said that it was over the “Tax Refund” Money.
So basically he ended the life of those three people because of a couple thousand dollars. All I could think about was the first line of this song. “I #$^&ed my money up….now I can’t re-up, ran up in his spot, Just to get my stacks up”…..
Does life imitate art, or does it Art imitate reality? I’m from the hood, I find it hard to let go of the entertainment of most of this type of music. I just like it…..but when some dude does some dumb #$%^ like that..kill a family over tax money. I think that we need to get rid of the criminal element in hip hop.
