  10. King JuggaNott says:

    I like anything that Kanye does…I’m open minded when it comes to music. What would Stevie Wonders career been like if he was cornered into having one sound? Great artist change and reshape music as they grow….I’m interested in hearing what he has in store. I also believe that Kanye is a underrated emcee too.

    I totally agree, Kanye IS an underrated lyricist. Ppl pay more attention to his attitude than to his words. Dude is extra passionate. I understand him. He’s worked hard as fuck, y would he not get mad if his greatness and hard work is overlooked while the rest of these clowns get praise 4 mediocre music?!?!?!?!? I’d get hella pissed too…

  25. Sheiv says:

    Can’t wait for this classic. Kanye doesn’t disappoint. I got “SAY YOU WILL” playing right now, such a dope track. He switches it up everytime. I hope he does well, the public needs to let some things go! The man is brilliant at what he does!

  26. el_mono says:

    seriously…kanye sets trends in hip-hop…..he went electro on graduation, then everyone was on electronic beats….did singing on 808’s, now everybody is singing on autotune…hopefully he’ll bring rap back on course

  29. King JuggaNott says:

    @ Ac@pella

    He’s one of the few artist left that maps out his CD like a movie score. His entire album sounds like it fits together. I remember enjoying Large Professor, Diamond D and guys like that who used to produce and rhyme. I would love to hear what they think about the likes of Kanye….he took what they started and blew up. When it’s all said and done he’ll go down as one of the most influential artists in the hip hop genre.

    I like being able to listen to his albums as a whole the same way you listen to the likes of Marvin Gaye…you have the 60’s sounding Marvin with songs like “Ain’t nothing like the real thing” and “You’re all i need to get by”….then you have the 70’s with more conscious songs like “What’s going on” and “Inner City Blues”…then you get to the 80’s Marvin with songs like “Sexual Healing”..different sounds. Great artists do that. Any didn’t mean to run on…but I appreciate great artist.

  30. Da Business says:

    I’m lookin’ forward to it, besides 808’s all of his joints r CLASSICS!!!

  31. NICKEY NEGRITO says:

  32. Trevor says:

    @NICKEY NEGRITO

    Better buy it the first day it comes out! 🙂 Welcome to TEAMKANYE!!

  33. Nathaniel says:

    mainstream and “real” hip hop aren’t oxymoron. underground and “real” hip hop aren’t synonymous either.

    i don’t know where this “if you’re a mainstream artist, you can’t be hip hop” shit started. that’s dumb. Nas is mainstream, Jay, Biggie, Pac, Snoop, Outkast, Dr. Dre, Bone was, T.I., etc etc. all these niggas are hip hop…so what they tend to appeal to enough muthafuckas to push platinum records.

    even when Ye did 808’s & Heartbreak, he was STILL a hip hop artist. still apart of the culture. same with Andre 3000. niggas confine hip hop to j.dilla beats, bad hooks and long monotone verses sometimes. MJB is hip hop, Badu is hip hop. they just aren’t rappers.

    and “Pop” is just short for popular. hip hop is very popular. get ya shit together

  34. Nathaniel says:

    @King JuggaNott

    i agree with everything you said.

  35. King JuggaNott says:

    @ Nathaniel…
    I see what you’re saying. We talk about that in my circle too….it’s like people like to put artist like the Black Eyed Peas in the POP category. Black Eyed Peas ARE Popular, but they are STILL hip hop…

    I have to keep going back to KRS ONEs book where he sheds light on the rest of the genres like rock and roll, and bee bop were all created by African Americans. If not created heavily influenced…but somehow the corporations etc. took that from us. Hip Hop is the first genre that we just took and kept for ourselves. I said all that so say that Hip Hop is a big part of everything right now. I mean look at artist like Mariah Carey. She’s not singing ballads how she used too….Look at the likes of R.Kelly at how he started out singing and where he’s at now with the auto tune and hip hop beats.

    It all started with Teddy Riley and that “New Jack Swing” that ain’t nothing but a fancy way to say Hip Hop. Our genre is all over T.V. and all over the radio….I wasn’t there when it started, but Hip Hop has grown and so should the artist. We need Preemos and Pete Rocks, but we also need Timbalands and Kanyes to push the production. We need the Will I Ams to keep pushing our genre. I kinda feel bad that Hip Hop doesn’t accept the Black Eyed Peas because they ARE great but Eh….

  36. NO_SON says:

    This album is gonna suck just like all his other albums.
