Also, relapse didn’t suck, it was just a high concept album that is completely lost on the blog rap generation of fucking assholes. Pause, because some people need constant reassurance that homophobia is still hot in the streets.
I hope to god its a name change. Although i did like the idea of a relapse 2. But i guess he’ll be less on his slim shady shit on this one so it doesnt really fit.

It’s clear that he did release enough material to relase Relapse and Relapse 2 but he realized after Relapse dropped that people didn’t want to hear him on that same vibe. (or perhaps it was the omission from MTV’s list).
So now he’s working with Just Blaze, K’Naan, B.O.B and others and making a brand new album that won’t sound like any of his others. It makes complete sense that he would retitle it since it probably won’t include very many of the songs he recorded from the original Relapse session.
Honestly it’s about time that he went in a new direction. I wouldn’t even be surprised if the first single isn’t a bubblegum pop record like all his others. It seems like he’s got something to prove once again… I’m amped.

@ Will….he had 2 albums on his hands, if u don’t follow em’s news, there was a rumor that aftermath forced eminem to change the concept so more people would buy, thats why he released refill and scrapped the rest of the album….so i guess eminem will come before or after detox, because someone close from aftermath said that dre is planning to release at the end of this year, and game’s album is in june, so hopefully em’s album will be out august(IF WE’RE LUCKY)…..but yeah its just a name change people knew this news since he had a different concept!!

Didn’t Just Blaze like two weeks ago talk about how the albums going and how Em is a lyrical high or something? So yes there is a ALBUM, but it’s not gonna be called Relapse 2, which is good cuz I definately didn’t wanna hear another drug reference/serial killer filled album (not saying the album was bad, cuz I liked a select few songs on it) But yeah, having a R2 would mean dude would have to stick to the concept of having a ralapse, since the title is so damn specific unlike his other albums which have broader titles and therefore he could rap about anything at all.
Anywho, since it’s prolly a name change, I did like King Mathers as a title, maybe he uses that again?

I sorta agree with you. To the guy a few posts above, it is opinion. In mine, he hasn’t released a good album since The Eminem Show; I still do have faith in his next album though.
He just really needs to stop playin around, and make great quality and serious music. Relapse was a mess..
Eh, I liked Relapse better than most everything that came out last year…………Was it below Par for him??…Ya, but even at half strength his shit still beats out the garbage they pass off as hip hop nowadays………

I agree, even farthing into the mic eminem sounds better than most of what’s considered hot nowdays, plus relapse was a very good album if you really try hard enough to understand him and his metaphors. Most of the time he’s not even talking about murders, just conceals his real thoughts behind the mask of a serial killer. It takes some serious listening to understand the seriousnes of the album.

I got the concept of the album, I actually liked it for the most part but it was a bit under-par for him(We Made You was the worst lead single he’s dropped yet)……….it was under-par for him, but I dont think it was a bad record, 3.5/5…………Deja Vu and underground were the high points for me

Fuck it I’m glad it’s not called Relapse 2. That way when brain dead motherfuckers who only have the capacity to hate see “King Mather’s” or “Marshals Law” or whatever he ends up calling it, they’ll hopefully make the connection that they’re getting a completely different Eminem than theygot on Relapse. Because you know those retards don’t know how to read the comments made by Eminem, Just Blaze, D-12, and all the people working close to him saying it’s completely different Marshal.
Was Relapse a classic album? No, I don’t think so. It was pretty solid (especially when compared to the HORSE SHIT on the radios) but not what I was quite expecting. I have high hopes for his new CD though, and that’s why I’m excited regardless of what the fuck he calls the CD. It could be called “Swigtank and Groogy” and I’d still buy it.

I don’t think he’d name an album ”American Nightmare” or ”Empire” that’s kind of too simnple for him, his early albums had his name/alias, then there were Encore and Curtain Call which had a lot of symbolic meaning, I won’t even bother thinking what it is now, just wait and see.

The new album title was released a few minutes ago… its Recovery and will be released on June 22. Whatever he puts out, I will buy. His music has changed my life and I am sure that what ever he comes up with will completely slaughter any other rapper out there, especially lyrically.
