@JamieLondon lol gud shit im glad some one else noticed dat…em put out a 3 word tweet and get more comments than drake and j. cole combined… drake gun shine for a week mostly off hype (a.k.a. Y.M. dik riders and teenage white girls) and then get lost in the machine….off topic but i hope dis nigga cole let NO I.D produce most of the album so he can drop a hip hop cult classic and let these cookie cutta ass niggas play catch up

Rebel with a KAWS (Kill All Wack Shit)

  16. Simone says:

I was at this show last night… He was pretty good. I heard little auto-tune on the singing parts but that was to be expected… He blubbed when shouting out the city… He kept saying Kansas LOL Even though he was in Missouri…. I hope him and J.Cole do well, I’m not really anticipating any more albums Hip-Hop wise other than them….

  17. t-dub says:

i was at the show last night and it was dope. first concert that i’ve been too. it was crazy watching someone perform of that stature. His dad rolled up at the show to from memphis. girls screaming and shit. crazy experience overall.

  18. Post no billz says:

if I had to put money on it, I’d say that the nigga trying to stir up some more hype for the debut.

I like both artists as I’ve stated in the past. I just think its kinda lame that J. Cole is taking subliminal shots for absolutely no reason. Shit seems so phoney. Part of the reason the majority of his fans liked him to start with is that he doesn’t feed into the stereotypical rapper bullshit. So its disappointing he is going down that route; it seems desperate.

^ 1st & foremost hes an MC! Rap is competitive. Aint nutn wrong wit a couple of shots thrown. Drake throws sumblims in his rhymes all the time…”they bitin my flows”….Its no big deal.

  21. CantGetRight says:

Oh God,these ninjas got me bringin up J.cole in a Drake post. Smh@me.

If anything, Drake is biting flows lol. He completely bit Big Sean’s style on a lot of tracks including “Forever”.

But to the point at hand, I’m just bored with fake rapper beefs and I’m annoyed at these artists who try to use it to promote their projects.

  24. JERZZZ says:

Tell that nigga he can “Thank Me Now” and burn the masters to that wack bullshit

  25. Kizzyluv says:

Drake is tight w/ the lyrics. Anticipating the debut album.

Lol i know alot of y’all won’t like this but i didn’t forget anyone i’m not a Shady fan by any means. He can definitly spit and has proven himself to his fans atleast so i don’t know if that recovery joint could be most anticipated when you got a new generation of rappers that have to show and prove in a few months and ‘Ye having to show the media what time it is. If i forgot anything maybe it’s Red album as well cause i think we’d all agree this may be make or break for dude.

  27. TdotHIPpy says:

Oh and the dude everyone on here hates Ricky Rawse. Cause hate it or love it Teflon Don was one of the best in ’09 so to answer back with another would be killing the detractors with another smash.

  28. nyjerzyphilly says:

Nah homey, the most anticipated album of 2010 is Recovery. You’ll see as the next two months unfold.

I think Drake is dope. The fact that his next single is all singing is wack though. That isn’t Hip Hop. Its a pseudo-r&b.

I also feel like he could have done the Over beat much more justice. He didn’t have to do to it what Em did to it (not that I think Drizzy or anyone else really could) but he could’ve done much more with that beat lyrically and perhaps conceptually. I still liked it. Just saying…

  29. nyjerzyphilly says:

Rick Ross’s album was a*s because Rick is ass as a rapper. On top of that dude is fake as all fu*k.

  30. Majest says:

Why do Ppl compare em to these artist thAt are not established.?…u Lil fucks are crazy…em has proven himself to the record companys & the public, his talent is unique & powerful, these other kids bring non of that.

  31. DGtheEnigma says:

Drake’s an above-average rapper/songwriter…average singer. Too bad he waited too long to drop his album. His buzz is dying a slow painful death…

If he would’ve dropped Thank Me Later in December of ‘09, it would probably still be getting bumped thoroughly. Now, post-that Sprite commercial, people catching on to his delivery, “Over” song and video reaction, and some of the biggest names in hip-hop all dropping this summer (Em, Game, Ross, Jeezy, T.I.), Drake’s gonna fuck around and get lost in the sauce…sad.
