Dame Dash tells 1515 that he’s happy his former Roc stars settled their differences at the Converse Band of Ballers tourney this past weekend. He suggested that he and Jay-Z  should’ve taken a similar approach.

I think they’re better than me for that: being smart enough and humble enough to apologize to each other and move forward. I really do hope that where I failed to be the right example, that they can be that. You always want the people ahead of you to do better than you anyway.

“Niggas thought I’d fall without old buddy,
Oh buddy, what I do is make more money”

  3. 1 says:

Sound like Dame want to reconcile with Jay. I think this would be a good move.

If a friendship did exist between Dame and Jay, this would be beneficial for both parties. For Dame, If the intent is business ,i.e., monetary gain, I don’t think Jay would opt to reconcile.

  4. blaqscorpio says:

^ What would Jay get out of a reconciliation with Dame? I think Dame would gain the most from that.

  5. FUCK JAY Z says:

…Responding to the comment above about Jay-z not doing any for your neighborhood. In sum, and I say this in conjunction to listening to Black Rob interview, it seems as though a lot of black men in the space of hip-hop, is looking for a Father figure. E.g., Beans, Black Rob or any other artist who point the fingers at their ex-business partners for screwing up. Folks aren’t in high school no more, they are adults now. Therefore, no one is going to hold your hand, dress you, put money in pockets in order to change your present circumstance.

Black men. who make careless mistakes, when given the opportunity to change their social conditions, are quick to point the finger and reprimand someone when they don’t receive the support they feel they ought to receive. I can imagine some mistakes screw money and business both ways. So, why should someone support another when they consistently making stupid mistakes? When they caught do whatever, they should man up to take the initiative to accept the time for the crime.

In closing, fixing up a playground, renovating buildings, will not change anyone’s neighborhood. The community changes when the people change.

cosign everything you just said, that’s why i don’t hang with niggas, these dudes are stuck in their second childhood. Grow the hell up and stop worrying about the next man, a real man stands on his own two and provides for himself and his family. All this boo boo and whining is disgusting, you dudes need to do a nut check.

  9. last pro-rican says:

“I herd muthafuckas sayin they made HOV/made HOV say “ok so, Make another HOV”

    @ Flawda:

Thanks man. Nas’ song off of Stilmatic, 2 childhood, has rich meaning (s). I can no longer converse and hang out with guys from my teenage years who stuck in their youth. Some guys are in their 3rd and 4th cycle of childhood. Its saddening. But like I said before, a lot of brothers (not all) who grew up without a Dad, physically or relationally, suffer from, what I call: I need you bail me out syndrome. It’s sickening and at the same time, unfortunate.

  14. amazinace says:

DAME DON’T NEED JAY-Z FOR SHIT.

IF ITS REAL FRIENDSHIP THEY WILL KICK IT AGIAN, GOOD LUCK TO BOTH OF THEM FOR THAT.

BUT I THINK DAME IS IN A BETTER SPACE WITHOUT JAY

REMEMBER HE MADE US START TO LIKE JIGGA
JAY STARTED RAPPIN WITH JAZ BEFORE DAME CAME IN THE PICTURE
    THAT DIDN’T WORK FOR JAY.
JAY NEEDED THAT EXTRA FLAVOR(swagger): ENTER DAME AND BIGGS

    DO YOUR HOMEWORK HIP-HOPERS!!!!!!!!!

  15. HK says:

At least Dame is man/secure enough to face his mistakes.

As far as who’ll benefit the most…what is the true value of friendship?

  16. Ac@pella! says:

    @1

Cosign here. U know niggaz ain’t gonna change EVER…The worst thing in life is a black man who constantly complains about his conditions, but never takes the initiative to change them when confronted with that said task.
