Really awkward. Plus, this seems kind coonish.

I saw Q-tip on here before and Snoop, and I just don’t get the connection between Martha Stewart and rappers. Maybe she really likes hip-hop. Then again, these guys being guest on her show seems like a spectacle more than a genuine interest of them being there.

Ya’ll niggaz foolin’. It’d be coonish if he was on Bill O’Reilly. Now that guy’s a political dick…Martha’s always been kind of cool with rappers so to speak. Remember the ’98 MTV VMA’s wit her and Busta? Didn’t seem that bad. “Coonish” would be being on the Mo’Nique Show. Now I love Mo’Nique, sometimes, but her show is sum true coon shit. Lol. “Coonish” would be on be being on Oprah. Remember when she didn’t fuck with rappers, but had every rapist, child molester, murderer, and weirdo white mufucka known to man on her show, even Superhead’s trife ass, but no rappers? Then she went and got Jay, and now she’s partying with Diddy and Pharrell and shit? That’s akward. It’s like she’s tryin to gain the rap community’s respect by sort of “using” our artists 4 her own self promotion. Martha’s cool. šŸ™‚ Let her do her. Lol.

There is such a thing as the modern day “coon”. You see it everyday. On television, supermarket, workplace, school, etc. For people, especially blacks, to use this word in the year 2010 means the coonery still exists. Being black on a white show doesn’t define them as a coon. The actions of what they do the image that they portray in front of the white man/woman is what defines them as being a coon or not. A good prime example of the modern day coon is Flavor Flav. He is by far the closest thing to a minstrel show. From the clothes to the language. The “schucking & jiving” or the “bucking & cooning” references precede him to a tee. He doesn’t see himself as being black. He seems himself as a caricature. That is what he lives for. And it’s all to garner acceptance from the “white man”. The more “cooning” the more respect and acceptance you will have from the white man. They care only about the image they portray in from of the white man and not the black man. That’s the mentality of the modern day coon. And it still exists.
