You’re a dumbass if you think artist should just “give away” their music as promotion. I can understand them giving away a mixtape, but not music from their albums. You act like they should not give a damn about the record sales just because they don’t make much from it. Those record sales ARE important because the more money the artist makes for the record company, the more dollars the record company will invest in their projects.
Idiots will say “sales ain’t important” and then get mad when an artist release an album full of wack beats made by a low budget producer down in his mama’s basement. Or they sit on youtube clowning an artist for having a low budget video.

There is alot of different views on here from what i have noticed. I think dude did the right thing. The guys that got busted were pirating alot of peoples music and im sure dream isnt the first one to do this i believe he was just the first to come out. Last time i check dream sings about women and partying. I don’t remember him saying anything about being a gangster. Also, this isnt necessarily snitching, anyone who says it is has never commited a real crime or have been put in the situtation. The sentence for possessing weed is 6 months in jail but most people get no jail time and put on probation. so everybody is snitching? just like with T.I. everyone thinks he is a snitch because he only got a year. I have alot of friends that have been sent up the road for pistol charges and thats about right. Nobody asks you to snitch over a weak pistol charge.
