  2. Dallastx_groveside says:

Iam frm tx but never felt this dude but he do sign geto boys do or die seagram frm Oakland and that “baby geto boys”group frm 5th ward I can’t think of there name but they had a white midget rapper (really) n some shit. But Houston should be honOred 4 it’s music b cuz if you do your research b4 these “wood gripping” paint dripping” rappers came about they had great acts in the late 80s to mid 90s most ppl think face is the best ever outta htown he said himself
he can’t fuck with k rino. Also gangsta nip 1 of the first horrorcore rappers point black ,klondike kat the duo the “terrroist” street millatary ,half dead organizion, bam blacc monks, 20 2 life and more. Also Memphis had the second best southern underground scene then da N.o 3rd

  3. DARKAQUA says:

PEOPLE GIVING WAAAAAAAAAAY TOO MUCH CREDIBLE TO THIS DAMN SHOW….THIS AIN’T NOTHING BUT EGO….WHINING FOR ATTENTION. VH1 JUST STARTED THIS MEDICORE SHOW LIKE YESTERDAY. ONLY PEOPLE THAT’S TRIPPIN’ OFF THESE DAMN NOMINATIONS ARE THE PEOPLE THAT SPOTLIGHT DIMMED ALONG TIME AGO

    HUNGRY FOR SOME SHINE….

  4. pissed says:

Really tho…i mean who really gives a fukk if VH1 “honors” you? They aint start playing anything remotley close to hiphop until what…the early 00’s? if you made a considerable mark in hiphop, the true heads know what’s up…from ALL regions. Fukk VH1.

  5. Blap says:

I honestly feel like it is a smack in the face to include Texas, Georgia, and all those other states into a Dirty South tribute. Texas deserves it’s on show based on Rap-A-Lot, Suave House, and other labels. Then Georgia has a major contribution to the game as well. It’s two things wrong with it imo… 1) Either include those artists into the “normal” tribute which includes east/west coast artists or 2) Honor them by state/region. Don’t just throw them all into one category and try to make a tribute show out of it.

I personally don’t watch those tribute shows much because it’s patronizing to watch dudes who make millions perform songs from legends who made 5% of what they make now. Plus hip hop is one of the few genres that has NO respect and appreciation for its pioneers. They call ’em old and washed up and complain that they aren’t helping the new artists enough. I’m good listening to my old school music and mixes. This is just a trend to get viewers for VH1

  6. raul says:

This man is a legend him James Prince and Uncle Luke are southern pioneers who buck the status quo as far as Southern Indie hip hop who got shafted who deserve more respect. But who really gives a fuk about VH1 they hardy have any bearing on hip hip, dont reguarly play hip hop videos and use Hip Hop who use it only at certain times when it benifits them ….THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THE CULTURE!!

  7. Ac@pella! says:

At first, I was pullin 4 these niggaz but they startin to bitch too much. Ya’ll cats reachin too much. Be happy ya’ll gotchall own show dedicated to the fuckin region of southern hip hop. U don’t c tha west coast bitchin. They tryin to get back in the game fully period. The midwest ain’t complainin. Nobody notices us. Truthfully, southern music is the biggest general influence on hip hop right now. Beat wise and all. A lot of niggaz don’t wanna admit it, but its tha truth. What fuckin more do ya’ll want?…

  8. Master P's Theatre says:
