Looks cool, I’ll be glad when an artist make an album and its all him or her. This feature trend is getting out of hand. It’s saturating the market. I don’t know if its a label push or an artist covering their weakness to balance the album or just trying to give it a richer flavor or texture. For generics like Diddy and Dr. Dre its expected, but for full blown artist like Drake who’s versatile with his R&B flavor, he should have been able to pull of his own album. Especially since it is titled Drake “thank me later”. Now i have to thank Alicia, Lil Wayne, Jay Z, TI, Swizz Beatz, The Dream, and Young Jezzy.

The features aren’t too many, though. Hate to bring up Kanye on a Drake post, but it’s relevant. Kanye’s debut featured Jay-Z, Common, Talib Kweli, Ludacris, Jamie Foxx, Mos Def, Freeway, etc. However, he held his own. I bet some of the rap features on Thank Me Later are just hooks or little verses; they won’t make too much of an impact on the overall judgment of the music. No big.

I’m not gonna lie…..I KNOW that Jay approves Em approves T.I. approves this guy. Those are probably some of my favorite artists….well not Jay but I been down with T.I. since I’m serious and Em since the eminem show (I know that’s late) but anyway I may give the album a listen but I just don’t like his content that much to buy it…..
