Bun B Defends Dirty South Hip Hop Honors

Luke, ‘Face and Tony Draper have all voiced their displeasure with VH1’s upcoming tribute to the South. Well UGK’s Bun B has a different take on things. He’s slated to perform three times during Thursday’s June 3 taping. Here why he’s so supportive of this year’s festivities.

    Co-sign w/ Bun.

I understand what they were tryin’ to do, but my thing is why change up what was workin’ fine. B4 last yrs show(Def Jam) cats from the east and west would get honored on the SAME show. There wasn’t an east coast award or an west coast for that matter. It’s impossible to honor a whole region in one setting.

I don’t think sh!t of VH1 Hip Hop Honors. Bun B knows this show is nothing but the record labels being in cahoots with the network to show off their slaves. It isn’t about anything. One more display of “who’s on the plantation chopping the most cotton for the master” is all this is going to be. I’ve never seen such a sorry cop out.
