T.I. tells MTV that during his time in prison, Eminem’s words of encouragement helped him get through his bid.

“Em personally reached out to me, and we been speaking ever since, especially since I went through my situation [with having to go to prison]. [He would] just kinda remind me that ‘I’ve been through dark period in my life too. You’re gonna make it. You’re one of the ones we need, so you’re gonna make it. Stand tall and walk the walk.’ He just made it a point to always reassure me of the spot that I hold in this thing that we got called hip-hop. It was incredibly helpful. It was incredibly noble of him, in my eyes, to even take the time out to reach out to me.”

Out of the 80 songs T.I.’s recorded, all won’t make his album, King Uncaged. In the clip of above, he tells 1515, that a new collaboration with Eminem is in the works. Another touchdown?

“It’s in the making. It just hasn’t been recorded yet. The song has been picked out and it’s been agreed for us to do it. We’re thinking a song that can definitely make its way to the club.”

Wyclef was bestowed with a honorary doctorate this past Sunday at Western Connecticut State University in Danbury. Following his commencement speech Wyclef Dr. Jean was also presented with a $9,500 check for his Yele Haiti foundation. He told the graduating class:

“Create a vision based on your specific gifts, talents and tools. There is greatness in simply being you and using your skill to do something with your vision — and to put your personal plan in motion.”

Last September, Clef said he was planning on enrolling in Berkely College to pursue a B.A. in music. Two months ago, he was honored as Artist of The Year at Harvard University. Good ass job.
