    i hope y’all niggas understand just how integral and great Prince is in the scope of black music, historically, and just music in general. and our culture. the nigga is an icon…. and it’s amazing to me with all he’s given us/the world he was up there almost like “wow i can’t believe y’all are doing all this for me” <—-true humility. and a lot of our artists from this generation need to learn that if they really want to be truly great, and not just "dope" for right now. all respect due, Prince is a legend and the last of a dying breed.

    oh, and i really thought Patti over sung the fuck outta Purple Rain. (but it wasn't as bad as that shit Trey Songz pulled… OR that high note smh). Janelle Monae kilt Let's Go Crazy though.

    CO-SIGN!!! One of the greatest live performances I have seen in my young life. Unforgettable. I paid over a hundred for those tickets and I would spend more in a heartbeat!!

  • Prince was the Coolest mothafuckin in the room that night. BET offered PRINCE the Life Time Award in 1998, but after BET got rid of Tavis Smiley (a close friend to The Artist), he decided against it. So now they’ve patched things up and Stephen Hill is a HUGE Prince fan, they were finally able to get Prince to come Accept and this was the right time to do it. Prince has a new record coming in a month or two called “20TEN”, it’s gonna be released on July 8th in Paris and will be released in several other countries first, before we get it here in the states. The Image on his shirt at the awards is the exact same image for the new cd “20TEN”. Prince will also be touring the world this summer/fall… so if you havent xperienced PRINCE LIVE – Please do so… it’ll be a ticket worth paying for. He and MJ are Our ICONS in Black Music and Prince is still ALIVE AND WELL… Support the brotha! He is truly an Inspiration and One of a kind. PRINCE: A World ICON!
