Drake Thank Me Later Sales

Surprised? We’re not. Hits Daily Double tallies that 462,989 fans purchased Drake’s album, Thank Me Later. As a result, the LP will enter the Billboard charts tomorrow at number one as the highest selling debut this year. Congratulations.

UPDATE: According to Soundscan, the number is a bit lower at 447,000. Dope nonetheless.

Red Bull EmSee Battle Competition (NYC)

Before Eminem’s performance, Red Bull held their first round of battles. The competition was truncated from eight contestants to two with Quest Mcody taking on DNA. And man, was it a close one. Even after three rounds, judges Just Blaze, Alchmeist, and Craig G took it into double overtime. Once the smoke cleared, DNA walked away the champion. Next stop, San Francisco. Remember, the winner of each city competes in the finals in Detroit on August 26th. Check out what you missed after the jump.
