Artist do a mixtape just cause they have an album coming and think i’s suppose to be the “buzz creator”.
This cat making a mixtape 1 week before his album is so pointless.
Mixtape use is only necessary if it’s working out for you like it did 50, Wayne, maybe Drake (he did one mixtape that did it).

THE MIXTAPE SCENE IS SUCH AN OVERSATURATED MARKET!!!! THESE ARTISTS NEED AN INNOVATIVE MARKETING TEAM AND A CREATIVE APPROACH TO PROMOTE THEIR ALBUM!!!! A MIXTAPE IS A LAZY PROMOTIONAL TATIC!!!! MIXTAPES WORK BETTER FOR UP & COMIN’ ARTISTS RATHER THAN ESTABLISHED ARTISTS!!!!
