Cole traveled across the pond for the first time this past Thursday. Along with Jay-Z, he’s set to perform at The Wireless Festival tomorrow. Yesterday though, he stopped by DJ Semtex‘s gig on BBC1xtra. After a brief interview, he kicks a freestyle with UK artist, Chipmunk.

i’m really glad neither Cole World nor The Blow Up are his album titles. i thought both were corny and cliche. he was right, they do sound more like mixtape titles tha album titles.

i got a funny feeling this album gon be a calssic…he not as catchy as drake jus to compare the 2 like every 1 does, but his subject matter on this album & n his music gon last forever.. i think this album gon shake upo the game…its like hes climbing up the hill n people r looking n hearing but once he reach the top of that hill thats when the glory comes

This album will be a classic. Whatever J.Cole lacks in his interviews he definitely makes up for it musically.

Like somebody said above, J. Cole is for real hip hop fans. People like Drake do their thing, and do it well, but if you’re after something a bit more than basic punchlines and catchy songs, then Cole is the future. Lyrical fucking monster.
