Consequence Explains G.O.O.D. Music Day
Still in disbelief that Consequence, Cudder, Big Sean, and Kanye are dropping their LPs September 14th? Last week, Cons spoke with HHDX on the decision. Better start saving your money.
Well…the idea for doing the G.O.O.D Music Day emerged between me and [Universal Motown Records President] Sylvia Rhone, just to be quite honest. I’m very communicative with Sylvia Rhone on everything that I do. We had actually met with Kanye one night, and as me and her left the meeting, we left together and I was like, “Yo, we need to really get this paper right now.” When we left we thought that this is where we need to take advantage of the situation. So…she got on the phone…made some boss calls, and then we got to it. At the time when [Big] Sean announced that [he was also dropping his album on September 14th] I didn’t know that he was in the mix of that, but it’s all good. But initially, how that shit came about was me, Kanye and Kid Cudi. I just hadn’t announced it because I know we had things that had to be ironed out. And it got ironed out where it’s – ‘Cause actually at the end of the day, Kanye being the head of G.O.O.D Music had to approve that. And the approval was based on, “Let’s shake the game up.” Cudi got the kids, Cons got the streets, ‘Ye got the globe, so we all gon’ eat. [Laughs]
it really sounds like there’s some sort of disconnect between Cons and Big Sean.

Yeah seems weird the way he was leavin Big Sean off to the side. I don’t know how this will work out, because it’s not like G.O.O.D. music is buzzing like crazy right now. If anything, most people will want to check out Kanye and Cudi’s albums.
They’re making Cons announce this the most, so he gets more buzz and people see him more.

Damn, people are not feeling Cons are you serious? Cons is one of the most underrated rappers ever and he had one of the best mixtapes this year plus he has Ye, Q-Tip, and No I.D. producing his album so we actually might get a classic out of him. Big Sean is good but he won’t be dropping a classic and Cudi well Cudi is just not on Cons’ level.

Kanye will always have his fans, I don’t think the Taylor Swift situation hurt him that bad, but I’ll say he does Drake numbers. 400k

first off big sean would sell a lot more albums than you think if only people knew about him, once he drops a mainstream single, he is going to blow up like cudi did…..cudi releases a couple of mixtapes before he was really noticed as big sean has. I brought a big sean mixtape out on a boat on the fourth of july and we were getting girls naked, everyone was lovin it.
I think this is a bad idea for Cons & Sean and even Cudi although Supppp is right, he got the white boys loners/stoners but even them I believe will want to rock to Ye’s shit in the 1st week.
