Back in April, we reported Jay’s second leg of his BP3 tour brought in over nine million in sales. Pollstar has just released their mid-year report for 2010 and Jay comes in at number 12 with $22.5 million in overall sales. Don’t forget, Jay joins Em with four shows at Comerica Park and Yankee Stadium in September.

jay-z is surprisingly a great entertainer and has a great stage presence, i saw him here in seattle at the key arena back in october with nerd and wale. wale and nerd sucked but hov was amazing, his sound was the best i have ever heard from a hip hop artist. Lil Wayne had to do way more shows to make what Jay made, not to mention it was the Young Money tour, so he had to split that money.

@Freeed…. so u ratha hear Jeezy over Jayz? What songs are bumping from Jeezy recently? Jeezy is not the lyrical monsta like Jayz and they both real dudes but Jay is “gay” and “boring?”
I couldnt stand in a crowd listening to Jeezy’s raspy voice for more then 5minutes, whereas Jay is clear as the songs he produces.
50 still making bread his way, he may not be making hits but he making cash.
BTW Jayz is doing for hip hop what Bon and Paul are doing for Rock, the only ironic thing is Blacks invented Rock and we lost all control and culture of the artform, You gotta appreciate Jay, he made an album last september and still touring with the BP3 logo, i guess he really laid anutha Blueprint.

B’s tour in North America ended in 2009 so her numbers would not be on this chart. Her South America and Caribbean dates in 2010 were sold out. She raked in some serious $$. I have to say after seeing fottage from those shows she is really on another level in this industry –undeniably incredible and the best to do it from our generation.
