The R.E.D. Album finally drops on August 24, but first, he and DJ Skee plan to release their Cool & Dre produced mixtape, Brake Lights. Chuck and Dre speak on the project’s features.

“I got something I did with [Lil] Wayne before he left. I got something with Baby. Always gotta have them a part of anything red. Them my dudes. Waka Flocka came through to jump on the mixtape hook. I got some stuff, man.”He’s got a record with Busta Rhymes called ‘Shot Down in Cold Blood,’ ” Dre described. “There’s a record called ‘People’ that has Mary J. Blige on it,” he continued. “That’s soulful. It’s a lot of soul-sample beats, which we’re known for, on the mixtape. There’s a lot of gangsta shit on there.”

Game’s whole career is riding on this album. And I don’t think he’s confident about this R.E.D album. That’s why he’s frantically putting out mixtapes after mixtapes searching for a buzz. Without the backing of Dr. Dre and yes, 50 Cent, his career has lost it’s direction.

  8. Blue boy says:

Would u be confident after Em jus shitted on the rap game? Haha

  9. studiothug2010 says:

game needs rick ross buzz lmao! I’m still waiting on r.e.d.!

this mixtape should be good, his amerikas most wanted mixtape was dope but his red album lookin like the next detox could be a major flop with no hot singles for so long .same with ti’s king uncaged that shit aint gonna move like paper trail

I actually would. Everybody is waiting for THAT hip-hop album. Not an album that sways left or right. Just a straight forward flat out hip-hop album. Me personally, Eminem didn’t necessarily satisfy the appetite of the true hip-hop fan. He basically went Pop on this album. It was an attempt to re-solidify his top position and it obviously worked. Hopefully the next album will satisfy the true hip-hop fan.

    You’re an idiot too. Truce.

  13. Sly Fox says:

I wanna kno what part of Em’s album didnt satisfy hip hop fans?

  14. Sly Fox says:

And Game dosent need a rick ross buzz, cuz he dosent have one dooofus, Game just need to stick to that gangsta shit we love him for and stop tryna collab wit niggas like wayne baby and gucci and spit something.

Great songs come from the heart. Dont try and satisfy radio cuz u gon flop hard Game. The radio play in 2010 is different than radio in 05 when how we do was bumpin’. You just gotta stick to your fan base and go hard, cuz these “new niggas” dont listen to lyrics anyway!

Where I’m getting at is everybody want’s that traditional hip-hop album. With no heavy pop or rock influences. There’s a good amount of pop/rock/r&b mixed with rap on Eminem’s album. That’s why I don’t understand how you crucify Drake for doing the same thing. The last traditional hip-hop album I’ve heard on a mainstream level was Nas “Hip-Hop is Dead”. You compare that album to Eminem’s “Recovery” and you will see what I’m trying to explain. I’m not comparing which album is better or who’s a better artist. I’m just trying to prove a point about traditional hip-hop.

Traditional hip hop is actually rappin’ on your songs showcasing your lyrical skill. not on 8 or 9 songs but all of them. It dosent matter what kinda beats you pick long as you rap. Drake sings on 90% of his album thus its not a traditional hip hop album. Drakes album is 808’s and heartbreaks part 2 and that album is not that great. And Nas album hip hop is dead has pop/rock/r&b influences on them so you might wanna listen to it again, but Nas does what on it “Rap”. At least eminem raps on the album but he stays in his lane and ppl love him for it. Game situation he’s tryna become something else and im not feeling that. He needs to look at why Ice Cube and Snoop Dogg stayed in the game so long and are still popular to this day and take some advice. You cant be street for ever but you can evolve not hop on a bandwagon.

How many cheesy choruses does Gucci wack ass have. Plenty so dont even go there with that. And lets see um gucci never platinum, Eminem never misses. So whatcha talkin bout. Eminem album dont satisfy you cause it sounds like you like heavy non sense on your songs hence why u said game needs to hook up with gucci. Well for those who dont kno he has a song with gucci and its pretty wack its called “krazy” listen and tell me what yu think of that. Listen to pussy fight feat nicki minaj and tell me if u like it. Game needs to stay in his lane point blank period. Dont hate that Em has evolved, so has Jay Nas Snoop and anyone whos been around for a long time
