as far as her singing in general, i definitely don’t consider her average. i consider her voice beautiful. Beautiful. smoky, soulful, painful. her words are personal, not generic love songs written by like the top 5 writers collaborating in a room to make a chart-topper. LIKE MOST “ARTISTS” these days. i’ve seen her in concert two or three times and her voice was every bit as amazing. so to me she is an incredible singer. but some nights i’ve seen her on tv and her voice was all messed up, raspy and hoarse. it happens.
