I KEEP TELLING PEOPLE STOP LOOKING FOR “MISEDUCATION” LAURYN…THAT PERSON IS GONE

    JUST LET HER BE MAN…

Hey for some people it aint that easy when ur a great artist and u put out classic material ur always gonna be compared to that no matter what. Regardless of what Michael Jackson put out its always gonna be compared to Thriller thats just how its goes and its the same for her because her album was so good all people are gonna want is the “Miseducation” Lauryn.

  6. The Vapors says:

    @ freakshow.

    That’s a foolish assessment…

That’s like Jay-Z taking a 15 year break after Reasonable Doubt.
That’s like Nas disappearing after illmatic.

I’m a fan of Lauryn Hill and I consider her one of the top 3 female rappers of all time and at the same time I think she had @least 3 or 4 classic albums up her sleeve.

How can my expectations as a fan be considered an outsiders view if Lauryn’s first album is considered by many people to be one of the best cd’s recorded in the last 30 years???

The only song off of her 1st album that couldn’t been a single is the intro.

  7. SilkCityP says:

How can Lauryn be the biggest waste of talent/potential when the 1 studio album she has dropped is arguably 1 of the best albums of all time?? Include every genre of music at that! Just like anybody else I’ve been wanting her to come back out… but it hasn’t been right for whatever reason(s) it is… But when she does…. it will smash everything that’s out! That’s called being a “great artist”

  8. assasin says:

Yes u are an outsider because u are not in the music biz.. she isnt the first artist to take a break from the industry because of all
the stress and demands it entailed- yea it was long as crap, but i cud never call her a waste of talent. Her name is still relevant and her body of work isnt that big

  9. Fuck Ya Life says:

    @SilkCityP

She’s considered a waste of talent by my standpoint because of the fact that she had of the best albums of all time and thats it everythin went into a downward spiral after that. Like The Vapors said she probably couldve had a few classic albums because she had the rare talent of rappin, singin, producin and writin her own music. After that first album she never lived up to her potential.

  10. Sarcasm says:

damn it must feel good to be Roberta Flack and watch this, or whoever wrote that original song…

  11. The Vapors says:

    @ Assassin

    Nigga U don’t know me and u don’t know what I do for a living…

I’ve already acknowledged that she has one of the best albums of all time and that she is one of the most talented artists of all time, but her catalog could have more albums…

    The Score= Classic
The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill= Classic

2 classics in 15 years from someone more than capable of delivering super dope music is a huge waste of talent in my book.

If that doesn’t make sense to u then I’ll agree to disagree with u and whoever feels that Lauryn Hill has worked to her full potential as an artist.

some of yall are trippen…potential means your good but you have alot of room for improvement…the 1 solo album she put out as an allstar performance so cut the potential BS

Thank you. Very well put. People need to start or finish their education.

Lmao…really?? Out of all of the def. For potential and that’s what you posted when there’s like 15 def….like I said before…Lauryn Hill was stamped with greatness from the jump…she put out 1 solo album and is arguably #1 on everybody list…off of one album..Lauryn Hill and the word potential shouldn’t even be in the same sentence…potential is pretty much undevelopement(u cleary skipped over that def. For Potential)…Now if you said she was a waste of talent…ur Argument would somewhat make more sense..and I still wouldn’t agree with that a 100 percent…potential is Tyreke Evans…When you leave a Jordan type of dent in the game off one album..ur lightyears past potential
