  5. PAUL GASOUL says:

    ALREADY A LEGEND IN MY EYEZ.

  6. Ruse901 says:

    @ Paul Gasoul I don’t even know one person that supports/respects/bumps Joell Ortiz. If he dropped an album that shit would flop worse than Pau Gasol versus K.G. If he sold 5K first week that would be a success. Not that he will ever drop an album anyways because no record label would be that stupid.

  9. Post no billz says:

    @ruse901.. After that rant your opinion is now invalid.. Joell ortiz is nice..

  10. Where Wallace At? says:

    @Ruse901

    I agree that he probably couldn’t sell records, but that’s because he falls into a category that, in today’s Rap world, can’t be marketed. He’s a pure lyricist from the streets, that’s it. No gimmicks.

    There’s no room for that in today’s rap world and it’s a sad thing.

    But having said that he is a true rapper, in every sense of the word. Go listen to the Slaughterhouse album. In my opinion, he out-rapped the rest of the group on almost every track. He bodies every track he touches. Kind of reminds of of the way Big L used to eat tracks.

  11. Call Me Casper says:

  15. mac DIESEL says:

    I THINK JOELL ORTIZ IS DOPE LYRICALLY, BUT I WANT TO FIND OUT IF HE CAN BE A COMPLETE ARTIST!!!! U CAN RAP RAP AND RAP ALL U WANT, BUT CAN U PUT SONGS TOGETHER AND SELL WHILE STILL BEING LYRICAL??? THAT’S WUT I WANNS SEE FROM JOELL ORTIZ!!!! I KNOW HE CAN PUT OUT A MIXTAPE, BUT CAN HE PUT OUT AN ALBUM WIT CONCEPTUAL SONGS AND SELL WITHOUT COMPROMISIN’ HIS LYRICISM!!!!

    DON’T HATE ON MY OPINION!!!!

  16. Gene says:

    @mac DIESEL not hating on your opinion. However, if you want to know if he can put songs and/or an album together why dont you go listen to his album. Go listen to The Bodega Chronicles, as Midnite! commented immediately before you it is a good album. Listen to tracks 5, 6, 8, 14,& 15 specifically!!

    Joell Ortiz may not be the best in the game but he is dam sure my favorite Rapper right now!

  17. EMCEE COMPANY says:

    IM PROALLY ONE OF THE BIGGEST JOELL FANS OUT THERE RIGHT NOW. REAL TALK. BUT HONESTLY, HE WOULDNT SELL AS MUCH I WISH HE WOULD. TO ME, HES THE BEST LYRICIST OUT THERE RIGHT NOW. I DNT THINK ANYONE CAN BODY HIM. BUT YEA, UNFORTUNATELY, IN 2DAYS WORLD, EMCEES LIKE HIM DONT MAKE IT.
