Andre 3000 is your favorite rapper favorite rapper. Overrated is the most overused word in Hip Hop I swear. It’s just a cop out people use when they’re uneducated on the artist or have barely even listened to their music. Anything worth getting excited about these days is crowned overrated. This nigga Andre has verses that are better than some whole catalog and he’s been laying these verses down since 96 GTFO. I think the album was good lyrically but it was just some of the production that was holding the album back and Em’s choice to start singing on some of the tracks…
I like 2Pac but I don’t think he was that lyrical…In my own opinion his songs are more about the emotional connection like Dear Mama makes me want to cry….kinda like Kanye—Both those kats are not the greatest rappers but they pour their souls on the mic so you have to respect them for that.
My favorite albums so far have to be How I Got Over and Distant Relatives.
